(PLEASE DON’T GET POLITICAL. NOW’S NOT THE TIME OR PLACE)
Bush 41 passed away last night at the age of 94; 8 months after First Lady, Barbara Bush. Before he was President, he was an Army Airman, who served his nation in WWII. He was shot down & rescued by the U.S.Navy. He went on to become a husband, father, UN Ambassador, CIA Director, Congressman, Vice President & Commander In Chief. The first election I was old enough to take part in was between Bush & Clinton. Some here, may have served under Bush 41 as their Commander In Chief. God bless you Bush 41, thank you for a life of service to your country. |

RIP President George H W Bush. They don't make men like him anymore, or at least they seem to be in shorter supply. Here's a Bush family photo I've always liked.

May he Rest In Peace. I can count on one hand the number of Republicans I actually respect and he was at the top of the list. Best to the Bush family.

While I am not a Republican there are things that transcend labels.
He served his country, served it with honor and courage, then continued in the highest tiers of the CIA. That would have been more than any one could have asked for, yet George Bush served as Vice President and while I may not be a fan all many of the policies of the decade I did love growing up in those years. In time he would lead our country. He gave more any patriot could ask. We could use a man like that now. Rest In Peace Mr. President.
