I'm going to be doing some traveling and I'm looking for a good book or series. I figure since we are all Joe fans we might have the same tastes. I enjoy action books / military fiction. Please share your recommendations. Free or cheap is the best. I'll start with some I've liked:
The Code of War series: I think I've read all 5 books in the past 6 months. The is the closest thing to a Joe / Cobra book I've seen. Olympus is exactly how I see Cobra operating in the modern day. I really enjoyed book 2 and book 4. The first one is free: https://www.amazon.com/Olympus-Rises.../dp/B00ELTUD94 Tier One Series: I read these first two books recently. Decent reads. First book is $2. https://www.amazon.com/Tier-One-Thri...=UTF8&qid=&sr= The monster hunter series: A PMC against B movie monsters. These are great action books. I also like guns so I enjoyed it. Its nothing deep, but fun to read. https://www.amazon.com/Monster-Hunte...+international Dead Six Series - This is the same guy that does Monster Hunter teamed with a partner for these 3 books. I really enjoyed them as well. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...eries_rw_dp_sw |

Shameless plug time: If you like GI Joe and military fiction, check out 'Ghost Viper,' on Kindle Worlds. Then you can come back and tell everyone what you thought.

There was a series written in the 80s , the black berets or something like that. I thought the covers were cool and looked
Like joes so I bought two or three of them, they were an expendables type of group. I got them taken away because they had a lot of cuss words in them lol Edit Just googled them they are written by mike McCray and are indeed about a special mission task force. Anything by the late, great, Tom Clancy, particularly the Jack Ryan series. Also, an alternate history 2 book series about World War II: “The Fox on the Rhine” and “The Fox at the Front “.

Solosam is right; if you are a Joe fan and like military fiction, check out the G.I. Joe stuff on Amazon.
If you tend toward realistic historical fiction and Tom Clancy, check out my stuff (Bill Nedrow) after reading Solosam’s. I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy it. |

I really enjoy the Joe Ledger series by Jonathan Maberry. Elite government agency with comedy, martial arts, zombies, vampires, genetically modified humans, terrorists, the works.
