A wasted talent. Musically he was written off by the early 90's. Then the freak show started. That face? Ugh! The molestation charges. Creep. That god-complex. Beyond arrogance. His wealth. Spent it all! His repeated attempted comebacks were to pay off his debts. What a fool!
Why couldn't he grow old gracefully with class and dignity. A true pin up boy for toxic celebrity. I'm not surprised he died realtively young. These meteoric super celebrities often burst onto the scene and burn out. His slow burn was excruciating to watch. Musically, I'd wish he was more authentic. Polish and showmanship can only take you so far. I think the closest you got to the real MJ was his Billy Jean. He was a real innovator. Those long form videos. His dance moves. And he could sing. His follow-up albums were not innovative nor had edge. Look to Usher and Justin Timberlake to see where MJ could have taken R&B and pop. A sad and twisted end. |

I just dug out my Thriller VHS (dated media lol). This thing is pure genius. Man, excuse me. Gotta dig out my original joe figures, otter pops and get some popcorn.

I don't know who this person was. Was he a singer or something?

No matter what is said, the man has the best selling album OF ALL TIME! 25 years and counting and no one has surpassed it. He is the biggest superstar of my generation and his catalog of great songs is extensive. He will be missed by millions all over the world. RIP

It is easy to look at someone that everyone admires and think "He had it all". But I think he was such a victim of his child abuse and his parents who forced their kids into the spotlight that he was tormented. Just because you have talent and money doesn't mean you have it all. I don't think he ever found what he wanted in life. I know one thing... Wierd Al Yankovich owes a lot to MJ! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Dunno if this is being broadcast
But the body has just been transfered from helicopter to a waiting van for the short trip to the coroner's office Last edited by Lody; 06-25-2009 at 09:48 PM.. |
