Mine came from the Star wars comic vaders quest. The comic sucked monkey biscuits but I really like the title. I have used this name for quite a few years. Plus it is easy for me to remember. I tried the whole having different screen names and I would always forget them. That does not make me lazzy does it? If so then, cool! I at least have a star wars name that I like and I can remember!

I have used Gunzlingr since 1996. I wanted to use Gunslinger, but mIRC (I think) at the time had a limit of 9 character usernames, and I thought the Z added a little something. The name itself is an homage to Stephen King's Dark Tower series' main character Roland Deschain. In fact my signature for years and years was the first line from 'The Gunslinger' - "The man in black fled across the desert and the gunslinger followed"
I use it on pretty much every message board I visit. |

When I was in high school I was big into pro wrestling. Bret and Owen Hart were my favs. So when I started going online i took this name since it was the name of the original Hart Foundation's(Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart) finishing move

After a conversation with G.I. Eddie, I’ve decided to post my story…
I have an uncanny ability to manifest and achieve whatever I focus on. From opportunities, money, women, mentors, miracles and of course G.I. Joes. Even though I started collecting in November, I found two Flints and returned one honestly because I wanted someone else to have the same feelings of achievement that comes with finding a rare item that has been eluding you for so long. My ability to focus has created a passion for challenges of which is my greatest strength and greatest weakness. When finding these Joes became easy as a result of establishing relationships, I accepted the challenge of helping collectors with the burden of no supply. This has allowed me to help and serve so many. Funny, after Wave 7 I thought I’d take a break and just pile-my-loot with BBTS on Waves 8 & 9 but when people started asking for help I came up with another challenge worth pursuing. Michigan is always five days behind the debuts of GI. Joe product. How can I personally get in the way of distribution effectively? Well, I've just perfected my G.I. Joe hunts yet again enlisting the help of my sister in GA and two more-than-willing friends in AZ and CA! In just three days their efforts alone has produced close to $400 of Wave 8 and Wave 4 CP product. What's next... distributor? NOTE: I still have my pre-order with BBTS. Those purchases are to help satisfy the wants of my Michigan Tankers at a very fair price, check my feedback. The results are amazing and a little spooky at times especially when I become definite. I remember my mother always telling me, “You can do anything you put your mind to!” Kids really are like wet cement. Whether you constantly tell them that they are going to be president of their own company one-day or locked-up in prison by age 21... either way, you’re RIGHT! |

Mine is a nickname my friends used to poke fun of my Star Wars fanaticism. It's kinda stuck.

Mine, believe it or not, is NOT after Spirit's eagle, but after the lead hero in a comic a buddy and I created back in the early '90's. I wasn't even into G.I.Joe at the time. I was looking for a strong patriotic name for my hero. This was after the Gulf War and we were riding on that. My buddy actually named his character "Patriot" before there was a "Patriot" over at Image. I came up with "Freedom." I thought that sounded really American. I even have the character with a scroll under him with "FREEDOM" written in it tattooed on my left bicep. (That's how you Memphis area Tankers can identify me in the toy isle during warm weather!)
It wasn't until I had been on the DD board for a while and somebody said I got my screen name from "Spirit's stupid bird!" I was like, "Ah crap! Oh well. Too late now. It's already tattooed on." lol
