| I liked the first CC album, but it all went downhill from there. But I always thought Dez was the shit. I tripped when I saw an interview on Uranium(?) with Dez, his new band was touring with Danzig, then they showed the I Could Care Less video. I was drinking at my buddys house and we FLIPPED. We didnt even know what the guy was up to. Bought every album, caught every local show.
As for Pray For Villains? Ive had a couple listens. This is going to be their Black album. It is still extremely brutal. But theyve gone off this time into new territory. The brutality is there. Its unmistakably DD. But there are a ton of influences on this album. Every song stands out on this album. Its like they took the best parts of Metallica and Pantera and other similar genre-defining bands, put em in a blender, drank it, and made a DD record. Its a progressive evolution of the band keeping in form with the noticeable change of each record. Tons of solos, Dez is singing, great song structure, slow intros and interludes, a VERY complete album. Unquestionably their most diverse and musically superior record.
