In my collection I have X-men, G.I.Joe, Thundercats, TMNT, Starwars, Swords( around 10-15 of them) G1-present Transformers, Indiana Jones, Hotwheels, tons of Models ( I have built) Now.. if I were to sell? I'd probally be a bit sad to see somethings go. But at the same time I wouldn't. Material things come and go, Like Storm shadow turns yellow over time, They can be replaced? Somethings. I'd sell at the right price, But I'd have to hear offers, then I'd consider. For example.. had someone offer me $500.00 for my Swoop. I turned it down.. Said I had all 5 dinobots, I am not breaking up the team.

collections come and go. I have had large collections of star wars, thundercats, silverhawks and let them all go. The last collection I gave up was my 25th joes but they were given to my son.
I recently bought a new collection of 25th joes since I missed mine . We play with his and mine will be for display or maybe keep carded.

I have just about everything Hasbro released for the line, including the USS Flagg, Terror Drome, Space Shuttle gantry, etc. I still have alot of stuff unopened still in their boxes. I probably have around 1,500 figures. With that said, I would sell the entire set for the right price. I don't need the money but if someone offered $75,000 I would probably do it.

For me, I have done just what you have said in a way. for years, I have jumped from one thing to the next, comics, Joes, Gundam, Transformers, Star Wars, etc, etc. I had amassed such a large amount of stuff that 90% of it also sat in bins in a storage units which also added to the expense of collecting. At times I would rotate and go through the stuff, loving every moment of it, but I just couldn't come to terms with the question "why was I doing this when I can't even really enjoy it?" To some degree it seemed like more of an addiction at times, going on the hunt, spending, spending, spending. Finally after three years of pondering the same question, I decided I wanted to do something about it. When I lost my job, I figured it was the perfect time to start this massive cleaning out and have used e-bay to a very successful degree to do it. Man, it has taken months and I am still in process of sorting, hauling, and auctioning, the stuff. I have been the busiest unemployed person around. I have used some of the money to fund my Joe collection, which is what I have decided to stay with out of everything since it is something both me and my son like the best. I have also kept my comics for my son one day. But yeah, in the end I have no regrets at all, and honestly, to a large extent I do have that "I'm free!!!!" feeling.

When I took inventory of ALL figures and vehicles from 1982-2009, I decided to let go of the new mold figures from 2002-2006. That cut a good chunk out of my collection and it helped pay bills and made more room in my closet for more stuff. I recently sold alot of my 25th stuff because I got frustrated with the repaints that kept coming and also knowing that some produced/unreleased figures were costing in the hundreds...I said no more for me. I am left with my original ARAH collection which comprises of 90% of all vehicles and 65% of all figures. If someone offered me a good amount for just my vehicle collection, I would sell them and not regret it. That leaves only more room to display all my figures and then I might get back into the 25th figure collection. Having so many vehicles takes up alot of space. I am a firm believer in display all you have or none at all. I am a big loose figure/vehicle collector, don't keep boxes anymore.
That is my 2 cents...if anyone in Texas is interested in purchasing a large collection at one time for a descent price, drop me an email. Some examples I have are unassembled Defiant, Flagg with no decals, Terror-Drome w/unapplied decals, General w/unapplied decals, unassembled Rolling Thunder, etc.

I have thought about this alot. I have every single thing that has been offered from the launch of the line with SDCC2007 Pimp Daddy Destro all the way to the Newest Black Mask cobra trooper (which I believe is the newest figure to have hit the pegs)
The only things I am waiting on are the 2 Target Jet repaints. I just want them to go on sale. But other then that I have every single guy. Including the Blue and black SDCC2008 CC and the wraith Variant.
Anyway, I figured If I were to sell it all at once, I would double the price I paid for every figure and Vehicle. Then I would low ball Ebay price the variants (ex:Wraith Blue variant would be $50) I think I need the checklist to add it all up but it would be a big number. That's what it would take to have me part with it.
