80's. Saturday morning cartoons on network TV, my house got cable in 1982 so finding Nickelodeon was awesome as finding MTV.
The toys of that decade? Unsurpassed. You had Joes, Star Wars, Masters of the Universe, Voltron, Robotech, MASK, Thundercats -- Atari. Coin-op video game arcades. I turned 6 in 1980 so those were my elementary school to driving age years. Those 10 years getting to places by bike, skateboard or school bus with your friends? Priceless, I tell ya. After a day of playing outside the evening sitcoms were great too. Discovering your music taste in the 80s? Totally awesome. Choice. Tubular. |

Gotta go with the 90's. I graduated high school in 93 and from then through 2003 I experienced more fun, happiness, pain, new people, new places, changes of my views on life, gained and lost countless friends, bought a house, declared bankruptcy, lived in a motel, got engaged, got shit on, great friends, had terrible roommates, good times, bad times.
I wouldn't change a second of it, all of that bullshit shaped the man I am today. I was a kid in the 80's, I don't remember my part of the 70's so everything before that I've just read or heard about. So for nostalgia it has to be 90's music for me. When I listen to old Pearl Jam, NIN, TOOL, Nirvana, Alice in Chains (RIP Lane), and later 90's like Moby, Chemical Brothers, Tricky and The Crystal Method they all bring back the most vivid memories for me of the best and worst times in my life. Anyway, that's as deep as I'm getting. Nostalgia wise the 90's and it's music was my favorite decade so far, we'll see what the future holds. |

I have to say the 80's for me.
It is when I really grew up. 1. The toys were out of this world for one thing. 2. The music was great, and I still listen to it to this day. 3. Being able to go over to friends houses and their friends houses and all getting together to play war or football or just hang out. 4. The fashion. I loved my camo outfits and parachute pants. |

Late 80's, early 90's. 1989 is my all time favorite year for toys, wrestling, music, gaming, and so on.
