As a big time Terminator fan I loved this movie. The whole military action was great.Still won't top T2 as my favorite of them all but up there. The 5 minute cameo was the icing on the cake for me and I agree the character of Marcus probably stole the show. Its a shame Ol' Ironside always seems to find a way to die in all his movies

From what I gathered from the preview, the "surprise" isn't that the Terminator's are wearing human skin it's that they are now some kind of hybrid and think they are human.
Remember, in the preview, Worthington's character screams out in primal terror when Connor let's his head free and Worthington's character looks down and sees that he has Terminator parts. So in that case, Connor can be surprised because it is something new. It's not just a Terminator wearing human skin, it's a cyborg Terminator that thinks it's human. edit: I haven't seen the movie, so I don't know, it's just what I got from the preview. Quote:
when the movie was first announced, I had no interest because T3 was such a piece of shit, and McG movies are such pieces of shit. the trailer changed my mind. now the reviews have changed it back. the movie sounds like a big POS, and for one specific reason.
I read that in the movie John Connor is shocked to find out they are making Terminators with human-like skin? how could he be shocked, he only hung around the T-800 model draped in human-like skin for the last two movies? wtf?!? or is him being a brain dead imbecile a pivotal part of the story and there is a reason why he wouldn't remember? do they get into how he did a lot of drugs to wash away the pressure of beings man-kinds savior? hit his head on the bottom of a sink while fixing the plumbing? what? I saw it, and it was great. As someone else said, Wolverine<Termiator 4<Star Trek. My g/f was so tense she latched onto my arm. Yay for snuggling with a hot chick during an action movie! |

movie was great! I loved the homages to the previous flicks. Really like how they showed the origin of Connor's scar from the opening of T2.....hearing GNR again in a Terminator flick wasn't bad either. Great flick and more then makes up for T3. So far my favorite of the summer.
so very very true

I saw it last night and i'd give it a 7/10 ,the special effects were excellent ,and the camera shots were really innovative (director McG used to do music videos so i guess that's where it comes from ?),the Terminators were really well designed (T-600 being my favorite)the costumes and sets were good also ,Aussie actor Sam Worthington stole the show ,from "anger management poster boy" Christian Bale (who i don't really care for),the story was a bit weak and predictable and the ending was a bit stupid ,i was disappointed because this was one of the movies i was really looking forward to this year .
go see the new Star Trek instead . |

The main reason I have been unable to post consistantly, and why there are huge time gaps in between posts, is because internet/cable service fluctuates at my house. Either we cant afford it, the laptop breaks down or my brother racks up a huge pay-per-view bill that causes the service to be temporarily halted until it's paid. I do hope to post more frequently in the future now that I have my own computer. PS. I hope the Robert Rodriguez "Predators" reboot is half as good as Salvation.
