One of my best friends worked at a comic book store and I used to hang out there all the time.
He worked at a store owned by the Alleged 'comic book killer' in Michigan. I knew the store, the owner, and sadly his late wife. She let me play video games for free (The cool Robocop coin-op)

oh a successful comic shop.
I would say most comic shops are the saddest places on earth, its like walking into some guys living room and watching him lose money. |

I enjoyed the video and look forward to episode 2. I haven`t been in a comic shop in many years, it brought back some old memories.

i ran a video game store for a few years, and man...it killed my love for games.
Sure i got to make fun of nerds all day, but those nerds are physically and mentally draining. have to sit and listen to them drone on about their favorite games, which, by default 'cause i ran the store meant that it must be my favorite game was the worst. I had a "no anime discussion" sign on the counter that nerds thought was a joke...So they'd start talking about dragonball and i'd kick them out. I HATE dragonball. HATE IT! Then i'd get single white trash mothers hitting on my while buying copies of san andreas for the 4 year old kids, Or howabout the hard core gangsters that if now one esle is around will ask to check out the new pokemon games. yeah...never again. and i'd never work in a comic store. i like comics too much.

I have been to a few Comic Book Retailer Conferences and I know exactly who you are talking about. The consensus is that he did not do it. I did not know him personnally but he was very well liked by everyone who did.

I would never "work" in a comic book store either...however I own this one and that makes a HUGE difference!!

It felt weird going to the store after it happened. He moved the store to a bigger location before finally moving out of state.
