clarity here first off...this did not happen on this site but, another large collectors site.
okay so for the sake of brevity here is the deal in a nut shell. lets say someone pays for an item quickly via paypal with no problemo period. This payment is made after an agreed upon deal has been struck. Then lets say the person who bought the item does not hear from the seller at all for 5 days. So after being told 5 days later that the item will ship in the next few days (vague at best right!)... the person who paid promptly receives no further communication. So jump forward a bit. Now lets say it is day 15 after a payment was sent and, there has been no word from the seller for a total of 10 days! What would be the best recourse of action? let us say for now that the buyer in this situation (hypothetically) could be simliar to me in many ways anyone have any ideas on what to do or not do?

Try to file a complaint with PayPal dude ... but I hope you have an emailed saved with the terms of your agreed upon "deal", especially with the seller's email address.
Good luck.

true man.
that part should be no problem since he sent a pp invoice with the item and total. i have never been burned on any site at all so far (thankfully). the item was a bit more pricey than i usually pay for any Joe or TF piece though! That is why i am a bit sketched out about it all. again to clarify this happened on another site not here but, actually a sister site of the tank.

I agree with Vermillion. Pay-Pal, for me at least, has been greta in managing problems like this. It takes time as it allows the seller to respond, but after either they don't respond or cannot legitimately answer why they have failed to mail your product, you're awarded your money back. File a claim and see how it goes. Generally folks don't want any bad marks so they respond and try to work a deal out...
Good luck.

i had a deal sorta like this , go bad , about 2 months ago , i contacted a guy out of the master collector , he said he was buying 80s joes and would trade me or pay for them , but he wanted me to mail him them so he could check the condition , and my dumb ass believed him , so i sent him 40 some cobra troops , after that he wouldnt contact me back , i called the police in my area and his area and they both said there was nothing they could do , you might be able to do something about your dilema , because you used paypal , i think they have a policy about bad deals , and maybe refund your money , the guy who ripped me off is on here sometimes i guess , atleast he told me he was , so i hope he feels bad for what he did and no one else gets ripped of by him , good luck

for me filing a pp claim will be a last resort i guess.
i try to be understanding and, know that things happen that can hinder being able to ship an item. Although when there is a considerable amount of money on the table it does cause one to wonder for sure. Or atleast it does me. Like i told this guy via pm "a little communication goes a long way". I mean just touch base to let me know the status of our deal. You know what i mean?

I'd just send a message like "It's been two weeks since I sent payment. When can I expect to recieve my items?"
However, once you hit the 20-25 day mark, I'd include something like, "If I don't hear from you by tomorrow (or some short timeframe) then I'll be forced to file a paypal claim" Typically, that'll get their butts moving. I've only really been burned 3 times and two of those times was way back in the day when all anyone accepted was money orders The last one was some guy on another site a year or two ago |

I'd be crapping my pants if it was a large sum because it appears I was taken for a ride.
