I was wondering what movies and TV shows out there are there where the director actually pays attention to detail and every single miltitary or police character follows proper trigger discipline constinently?
IE not putting your finger in the trigger guard unless you're ready to and intend to fire. It's something I've become impressed with when I notice. I recently re-watched the Japanese show Ultraman Nexus, and they do this all the time. It's odd that a show produced in a country which has a total ban on guns would get this right when so many shows in the states where guns are common place get it wrong.

Because the Japanese are meticulous about details.
Over here we have movies and music videos to teach generations to hold a gun sideways and hit everything BUT your intended target. |

Noir.
It's an anime about a pair of female assassins. You want detail? They actually use gunshot effects specific to the make of gun the character is using. Ergo, a baretta doesn't sound like a walther, which doesn't sound like an eagle, which doesn't sound like a glock. I've seen realistic, multi-million dollar movies that don't get this one detail right. It surprised the hell out of me when I heard it. |

I hate that!! I hate that they just shoot at anything, even though they are trained Assasins or FBI or Cops. Even James Bond was taking potshots in his movies!! I know that movies are just eye candy but c'mon! I know what you mean by having this impressed on you, I am a weapons instructor for the Navy and it's real hard for me to ingnore these things. I also hate the way that when someone brings a weapon up to aim, it make a sound like its reloading! When I bring my weapon up, be it a .45 or a shotgun, the only sound you'll hear is a little click from the safety commin off.

I guess if they only fire once it's seen as less action and less tension, so they shoot at everything that moves.
And in a lot of shows the hero is not a trained soldier, so when there's shooting it's much less disciplined-Lost, for example.
