Actually, "Temple of Doom."
I think "Raiders" is the best film in terms of quality, but "Temple" is my favorite. Gotta love Kate Capshaw and chilled monkey brains. I used to think that Indian noble was James Earl Jones! I really had planned to just get the Temple of Doom wave of IJ action figures. So...they become rare and expensive. |

Actually, I think I love all of the first three equally; each has their good points and bad points that evens them all out for me. And I even liked number 4 too, but not as much as the rest of them.
These movies are just so much fun; Indy will always be the king of adventure to me... sorry Brendan Frasier and Lara Croft. |

Raiders.
It scared the Hell out of me as a kid and I loved every second of it! When Toht's face melts, I absolutely love it! |

One of my earlier memories is seeing Raiders at the drive in and the stupid metal box that you had to hook to your window for the sound wasn't working and my dad got all pissed and broke it and then we had to move to another spot

For my money, Raiders of the Lost Ark is about as close to perfect as movies get.
Temple of Doom gets a bad rap, unfairly. It has its flaws but it's a fun ride. Last Crusade has some great moments but I think the cracks are starting to show. Crystal Skull is an exercise of what not to do when making a movie. |

Crystal Skull was such a disappointment for me...I was so hyped about seeing it and I honestly feel asleep for about the last 25 mins of the movie and I never do that...I rented it when it came out to see about the "aliens" that I missed and then I realized I just wasted another 3 bucks on the rental...a sad day in IJ history

Yeah, it's just not an enjoyable movie. It feels nothing like an Indiana Jones adventure. I never feel like the characters are in any real danger. The purpose of the quest is muddled. Indy's led around by the nose for a good chunk of the story. They introduce Spalko as a villain then almost forget about her. The constant double-crosses by Mac were irritating. Karen Allen is given nothing to do. The snake gag was forced. The character of Oxley was too much. CGI prairie dogs, ugh.
