I went for a consultation today. I am getting my first tattoo(s) at 26, and I decided before work to go to the Haight. I'm getting a bunch of stars on my shoulder blades leading into my cleavage. I'm then getting them filled in various colors.
The estimate for this venture. 120.00. Tattoos are as addictive as plastic crack. That's a lot of money and thats almost 3 Cobra Island packs in a time when I'm saving money for my uncertain future. But unlike the cobra island packs, I'm permanently stuck with these tattoos. I have plenty of piercings. I have my nose and my lower lip pierced. I'm getting my marilyn repiercied again. So what I'm really trying to say is how many of you have tattoos and piercings. If so, what do you have? I have one tatoo on the underside of my forearm and both of my ears are pierced. I haven't even begun to approach the money I've spent on toys. |

I don't think I'd ever get a tattoo. I don't think I'd ever get a piercing. However, I love scars. I love earning them. Might not work out so well since you're a girl, but they're way freer and more fun to talk about when people ask about them.
I've got a dogbite on my lip, a pipesmash on my forehead, a floor meeting on my chin, and various others on a clothed body. I don't even get into fights, that stuff just happens to me. I had one from trying to crush a soda can with a headstand, but the pipesmash covered that up. I'd vote against the tattoo if it was my body. But heck, it's yours. Do what you please.

I think they're bought first. Guess you can buy scars too.

I am a big scar fan as well. I have the obligatory scar underneath the chin from fighting. Scar above the right eyebrow from falling down the stairs. Scar on my forearm from a lipoma surgery. Upper back thigh, Upper right abdomen, lower right back all lipoma surgery scars as well.
SCARS FTW!

I actually had a guy in my unit get a scar on his cheek from an IED while we were in Iraq. It was the only wound he got and it looked just like Dukes!
Only scars I got over there were from a hot shell casing getting stuck in the neck of my IBA and a hernia scar from mounting the 50 cal. by myself all the time. Also got a scar over my right eyebrow from falling off a slide when I was a kid. |
