Mandingo_Rex and Fred21 both bring up interesting points.
But I never intended to do office work. From the time I entered college, that was always something I've wanted to avoid. I initially studied biology/engineering, but then moved into the arts. Even my desire to eventually go into concept art has made me want to avoid that style of dress. Hence the reason, why I've kept my job at Great America and done bartending. But beyond that, I'd like to go into the artistic fields. I've never had a desire to live up to that whole office worker look. I'm actually considering giving cosmotology school another try, since thats where I would feel the most comfortable. But as for having tattoos and piercings in the 30s, 40s, and 50s. I think that each generation becomes younger. 40 is the new 30 it seems and if a person does good work do the tats really matter? Hey, stay true to you. You're the one who has to be comfortable in your skin and I'll always support someone who does that. I may not like something in particular but I'll never knock or talk someone out of something I disagree with if they're doing something that makes them happy. Office life isn't for everyone and there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with arts, garage work or whatever. I hope I didn't come across the wrong way. Working wite collar has programmed me to think corporately.

I would run the stars from your shoulder blades and then down your back or follow your tricep muscle down your arm to your elbow and you should use the crooked GI JOE star not just a regular star.
As Kat Von D always says never tattoo your breasts you'll regret it later. I think tats on girls breasts look trashy also. Last edited by SNAKE EYES; 03-29-2009 at 05:49 AM.. |

I am another vote against the tattoos
With so many people having tattoos now...it is almost original to not have any. Be one of the rare and cool girls without a tattoo. Save the money for school because as you get older, the tips might become less and less.

NOOOOO.... GI JOEs... No Tats.. At least with GI Joes its a lot easier to get rid of them if you change your mind, and you can make some of your money back.
With tats you have to pay more money to get rid of them. Also, I don't want to offend you, but personally I really dislike the types of Star Tats you are describing.. especially on women. If a woman has a tat on her upper arm or back that's one thing.. but if its anywhere I gotta stare at it during... well.. you know.. I hate it. Don't mare perfectly beautiful naked flesh with some ink.

Well, I say," If Im SO different when Im that old, KILL ME; cause all that means is that Ive changed SO MUCH that I am a different person all together....Stay true to yourself, and dont worry what ANYONE says. The world needs "bartenders, tat artists mechanics etc" and by NO MEANS WHAT SO EVER does having tats limit you to these professions... I think alot of you guys would be VERY surprised to know just whats covered up under those long sleeve shirts.... remenber, shes not looking for us to tell her shes "hot" without tats...(some guys think tats ADD to attractiveness)...shes just asking if she should spend the money on Joes or Tats...thats it...

I thought most people got tattoos because they want the attention and make themselves look cool, more attractive, etc... Or maybe someone can explain to me a better reason why some people get tattoos...
