I'm talking about 82 - 89/90. You really have to jump on these things when their first released. They go fast. I try to collect the ones I really wanted as a kid. I really got into sk8ing after I gave up Joes. About Jr. High (7th, 8th grade)
My favs were Santa Cruz (Jim Phillips art!), zorlac ( Pushead, often imitaded but never duplicated), schmidt stix (anythig John Lucero) and a select few of Powell Peralta. I was more into the art and shape of the decks than the skater. Todays decks are so genaric. No shape. No art. Any one else?

I would totally buy a coffee table book of the graphics of old school decks. Jeff Grosso was my weapon of choice. I rode mostly Santa Cruz... Kendall, Grosso, Jason Jesse, oh man have I really forgotten some of them?
Great stuff. |

I don't but that's because I'm not even sure how to go about getting them. I was big on Powell Peralta back in the day...there are few boards I'd like to have though the ones that come to mind are
Fred Miller Bill Danforth Tony Hawk Mark Gonzales Gator (first board ever) Corey O'Brien Natas Kaupas Per Wellinder

I had a skull and sword back in the day. But I gave up skating for BMX freestyling...that was my passion after joes. Anyone else into freestyle?
