I collect ONLY 25th Joes and vehicles (with a few custom figures) and MOTUC. I only have my Cartoon-era Joes on display (82-86 and some '87 from the Movie) along with (currently) five MOTUC figures (though that will be growing). I have the few 25th figures/vehicles from the 87-89 years stored (no room). I will not collect anything other than these two lines as I only care for MOTU and Joes. The only brand that could remotely interest, though will never see the light of day, is C.O.P.S..

Tanker, I am one of the worse out there, and there are many others who may not realize it yet, or have a boyfriend/girlfriend to state theres a problem. I have dropped thousands in one day. Yet price and budget it all RELATIVE. Its important to find a budget that fits you and stick to it. Or sell some other figures to increase your set budget.

thanks for the laugh, bud. YOU'RE NOT ALONE!! you are in the company of plastic crackheads just like you. the key is to not allow yourself to lose composure. keep your head above water, dude. you don't NEED everything. remember, you're not INVESTING in toys, you're collecting. get what you like, NOT what you think you need, or might flip for profit, or trade for a true need. you're digging a hole larger than you can handle. especially if you have spawn that need new jeans and lunch money. that's where you should draw the line, bro. take your kids shopping with your play money. take your wife out to dinner and spend a night out on the town, enjoying life. there's NOTHING to buy right now anyways. when, or if, things pick up again for Joe-heads, you will want to swim with the rest of us. at the rate you're going now, you're running the risk of living a life of solitude, surrounded by toy soldiers. not cool. |

Never got a BMF.......:(
I have tons of this stuff and sometimes you have to look at things and really decide if you should continue. If is starting to adversely affect your relationship, then some changes may be in order. Budgets for toys help A LOT. Sure has to me.

I hear and feel your pain bro. While my collecting is not that extreme I mainly collect Joes and add to my other 80's sets (MASK, Silverhawks, Thundercats and Dino Riders). But while I have not added much to these collections in quite some time, GI Joe makes up for it. I collect the Transformers Universe (mainly for my son) but my wife will ask me, "What if he doesn't like Transformers when he is older." (He's 2). Ever know a kid that DIDN'T like TF?
I think in the end, I am just worried I might miss something. Yet I don't know what that something is.... |

Thanks all for your comments.... As much as I'm in Target can't believe I missed the BMF for $30...well maybe I am, I'm sure I would have bought at least 2 or 3 of them. |

I missed ALL the damn UBP's going on sale for $14.. and pretty much everything else good going clearance at Target.. but I was wandering through the auto supplies department when I saw a BMF without a tag on it, hauled it over to a scanner.. came up at $32 or something and I booked it to the checkout register! Couldn't believe it!
