Just tried the other day in the tan repaint, the Locust and there was no hope at all. I'm not so sure about the no holsters thing, it seemed like not enough leg room, and even the shoulders would be too large for the arms to fit in and the canopy to close. Actually, I'm going to try an Ace or someone with Bill's body sans ginormous holdsters and post again in a moment.

i never had a dragonfly so i dont know, but i do have the locust, the lil brown one form like well i have no idea what year, but 89 i think, i got it brand spankin new in box never assembled from ebay for like 11 bux, an my wild bill fits in that perfect.. i have pics in my profile in my albums!! it's not the dragonfly but it is a vintage helicopter an 25th fit. but down fall is the foot pegs. all the vintage i own are things that dont have foot pegs minus that cus that was too good of a deal to pass, an my apc's cus they were like my first toy back when so it held sentimental value more then will the joes fit!! NOTE :: MY LOCUST IS THE SMALL LIL THING, NOT THE OTHER LOCUST THAT CAME OUT!!

Alright, just tried with some Aces. Back seat seems fine after you jam the elbows in, but the front was a no-go for comic pack Ace, and SRO kinda fit with his knees all smashed in there like I would be if I drove a power wheels, so there would be just enough room to smash his head with the canopy until it clicked shut. Not sure if Bill's pin head would improve this, or simply introduce a hat-popping off variable.
I seem to recall the original having stationary barrells on the chin gun, with a hollow space In the piece that would allow leg room? Locust has articulated cannons, so it won't work. Perhaps it is time to scour basement for beaten up TigerFly. |

Hey, according to Stupid McTriplepost(me), a no holster Wild Bill fits in the front of a vintage Dragonfly with room to spare!
The original, hollow gun makes all the difference in the world, and Ive got comic ace with Bill's head and hat sittin pretty. Thanks for the holster idea! It seemed entirely hopeless. I do hope for a newly sculpted DF. Hopefully one with the tail and rotor disassemled in a smaller box. You know how they do love charging based on shelf space. |

Wild Bill does fit the Dragonfly...but in the backseat. This is not an issue for me since the real AH-1 cobras has the pilot in the backseat.

Almost anyone with any sort of thigh holster or large webgear near the belt line is going to be tough. Diaper crotches, or diaper-crotchey type individuals as well. One Ace was tougher simply because his legs were a bit more spread while seated, even though the molds of the two are identical.
Airborne DID fit in the back, vest, holster, webgear and all. In the front, too much violent force was necessary to get him in, and his elbows would not allow the canopy clips inside. For display, I suppose anyone would fit with their legs removed. |
