Yes! This is turning out to be a deffinate must see for me in 2010. Wish Terrance Howard was still in it insted of Don Cheadle. Mickey Rourke as Whiplash, it looks like he's making a comeback.

Second on the T Howard thing. Hollywood is full of crap. Scarlett Johansson is the best possible casting for any role - ever. Even male roles. Anything to see more of SJ.

Ooh la laa, Johansson as Black Widow hm? interesting. I was reading a interview where Robert Downey Jr. asked Mickey Rourke to be in Iron Man 2 and had actually said "sure brother." I didn't know he was serious hah.
Marvel really has a huge series on their hands with these films leading up to the Avengers. So far I'm really pleased with how they are handling it, my only concern is the Thor film. I want all these Avengers related films to be damn good, and I think so far with Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk they are off to a good start. Don't eff it up! Well, I think this idea stinks. She looks fine, but she can't act worth a damn, IMO, and I surely will have a tough time accepting her as a hardened Russian expatriate.

This will turn out like Kirsten Dunst in the Spider Man films: An otherwise decent actress in entirely the wrong role.
I doubt that they're going with the unaging 70+ year old espionage veteran origin, but the character really seems to lose something if she's not even old enough to remember the Soviet Union, much less have worked for them. Scarlet also seems entirely too "soft" for a role like Natasha. I'll of course end up seeing the movie, so maybe she can surprise me, but I'm not counting on it. This seems like horrible miscasting. Natasha Romanova is more than just a pretty face. |

The only reason guys think she is a good choice is because of her looks. The girl can't act worth crap.
I might have chosen Kate Beckinsale.
