I would like to buy two of those and three of the alien seeing goggles. Would you take a MOC PDD in trade?

Given the VAST Interstellar distances, just between us and Alpha Centauri, I doubt we are being visited by anything. This does not however mean that I don't believe in the probabilty of Alien life. Actually, I believe our Galaxy is teeming with Life, not to mention the Universe. From Unicellular bacterialogical life, to Multicellular sentient forms, SOMETHING Else is out there. But, I also understand the MATH involved, and it is prohibitively difficult to create technology that could provide the means for such "Travel"...MATH is MATH, the same rules that apply to us will also apply to anything "else" attempting such endeavours. Even light speed requires infinite energy to be acheived, not to mention the biological factors (Effects) such speeds would have on Organic "Beings" in any case, No matter how "Advanced" they are, The "Physical Laws" are the Physical Laws.
What is seemingly impossible today might not be tomorrow. |

Airplanes, the Space Shuttle, cell phones and computers, Do not deal with Infinite Mass and Infinite Energy...bad analogy.

To quote Jack Burton (Big Trouble In Little China) "I'm not saying that I've been everywhere or done everything but I do know this a pretty amazing planet we live on, and a man would have to be some kind of fool to believe we're alone in this universe."

No the analogy is fine. There is plenty we don't know. Everything we know about science TODAY says interstellar space flight is not probable, if not totally impossible. But can you say for certain that there aren't new scientific discoveries yet to be made TOMORROW that might change that. What about the existence of wormholes in space? Might they act as a way to travel from one point in the galaxy to the next? What forms of fuel might yet be discovered that would provide the means necessary to propel a craft through the stars large enough to carry humans?

I think the mag comes out quarterly. I have a handful of them. I live in Allentown PA area and my inlaws are in Warren County NJ. My sister in law got me into the magazine a few years ago. i always pick up a new issue when I can.
