If so, from where and why? I've been fired from 3 jobs,,,,,, my first job tj maxx, I got into an argument with one of my co workers and other one of my co workers told on me,saying I "verbally attacted" someone blah blah blah, she didn't say it was an aguement that both of us was equally envolved in,she made it seem like I cursed the person and was trying to physically intimidate him while he just stood there, which was complete b.s......I also got fired from target for a corrected missed punch, which makes no sence. Ok, so I forget to clock out one day when I'm leaving, next day,the h.r. tells me I had a missed punch, I realize then that I forgot to punch out the night before,I fill out a punch correction sheet, this was a friday, I worked sat and sun,no problems, monday comes, they pull me in the office and start accusing me of stealing time,I explain to them it was an honest mistake that I corrected by filling out the punch correction sheet, they say that would've been an acceptable explination if I would've brought the missed punch to their attention instead of it being brought to mine. I explained I was un aware of my mistake until the hr brought to my attention, then I realized if they wrongfully terminate me, I could possibly sue them. I ended up getting fired, I didn't try to sue,to much trouble and hassle...the 3rd job I got fired from was home depot, like I wrote in the other thread,I basically got fired for someone driving to forklift to fast while I was spotting for him,we both got fired,I shouldn't have because I cannot make someone drive slow..... The rest of my crappy jobs,I quit for other crappt jobs

Not yet. But sometimes I feel like Derek Jacobi in "I, Claudius" where I work.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I,_Claudius_(TV_series)
I've seen almost a hundred people come and go in the eight years I've worked my job. There's a lot of capriciousness and office politics where I work (most of my co-workers are women). I'm amazed I've survived as long as I have. I try very hard to fly under the radar and not draw undue attention to myself, much like Claudius as he survives the reigns of Augustus Caesar (while his wife Livia is poisoning everybody left and right), Tiberius Caesar (who is ensconced at Capri doing weird sexual stuff while his officer Sejanus has everybody locked up and murdered), and the notoriously nutty Caligula. I haven't become the Big Boss Man, yet, though. AND I DON'T WANT TO. NO, NO, NO!!! Neither did Claudius...poor fellow. It's actually a fear of mine to walk into the office one day and be informed that my bosses and co-workers have either killed each other and/or quit/been fired/laid off or just dropped dead, and I've been promoted to some sort of administrative authority position. NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! Last edited by Barefoot Jedi; 02-28-2009 at 04:44 AM.. |

Sure have. I Was "reduced" from my last job. Outsourcing is the inevitable road to unemployment.

No, but I did quit a job I had worked for six years because a new pharmacist that had just started wanted to write me up for being three minutes late the day before. I told her that if she was really going to write me up for being three minutes late after all the time I had put into the company then I was walking out the door. She tried to call my bluff and I bailed.
Sorry, that's garbage.

Yeah, I was fired from DFS for improper instant messaging usage.
As far as my current job I see ppl get fired all the time. Just 2 were fired in the last 2 weeks. Customer service is no joke for turn over. |
