The town I grew up in, Tallahassee, FL had a few. the only one I remember I think was called "Something Wild". Where I live now, Greensboro, NC has had a few in the area. There was one a few years ago "Home of the Giants" I think (It starred Haley Joel Osmand) That one had a scene filmed in the house I was living in. I still have to see the movie to see the scene though

I can't say anything was filmed in yakima Wa but not too far away is the town of rosland that Northern Exposure was shot at. There's others I'm sure just not alot I can bring to mind.

Where I used to live, near Joliet, IL, some of "The Babe" was filmed.
Where I live now, Lake County, had some of "Home Alone" filmed there. But I live an hour and a half outside of Chicago where a lot of great films have been made- The Blues Brothers Fred Claus Ferris Bueller's Day Off and of course, the Nolanverse Batman movies.

yes toms river, ocean county, nj .. amittyville horror, the house still stands , it's just in a different location on the property. it's right on the river, off of water street, or washington, i get those two mixed up. it's located in close distance to joshua huddy park.
an at the end of a movie about lawyers, it might be ericka brockavich , or pelican briefe, not sure but at the end it says the chick lawyer goes to fight a case in toms river nj, for some kid that had cancer an they were saying it was the water. i painted the kids house years ago. that's not hollywood coming here. but it mentioned my area baby! i think that's all, al leiter an mark leiter, an jeff musselman are from my town. an mookie wilson lived in lakewood in the 80's, one of the teachers at my school brought him in for show an tell.. not that has anything to do wit' this thread lol. |

I think a scene of the Elvis movie "It Happened at the World's Fair" was shot in my town before I was born. Also, the tiny town next to us- "Buckley, Washington" was featured in the Chris Farley movie "Black Sheep", but none of it was actually shot in Buckley that I know of.

Not a movie really, but I saw a documentary on one of the true crime channels a little while back about gang violence in U.S. prisons and was surprised to see my home town of Tehachapi Ca. being featured. A few older movies sometimes mention Tehachapi when it used to be a woman's prison back in the 40's (or there-abouts) Yay Tehachapi Prison!
