Pittsburgh fans typically get upset when someone calls their team "cheats" like you and snake eyes, because both of you know that, that super bowl will always be questionable. |

Here We Go... First to six and nobody can take that away from them. Kudos to the 9-7 Cardinals.

There is nothing questionable. Like Holmgren, u will cry until eternity about some insignificant play that doesn't even matter. Cardinals lost just like Seatlle did 3yrs ago. The Cardinals shouldn't have even been there in the first place. They were lucky to even be blessed by the presence of the Steelers. A franchise that knows what winning is. The Cardinals are as great of a franchise as the other losers like the Lions and Chiefs.

Living in Tampa this week has been one big party. I went to a sports bar by the stadium to watch the game with other Steelers fans. It was AMAZING. The whole place erupted with each amazing play. Granted I didn't start watching superbowls until the early 80's but this was one of the best I've ever seen.

So far what I read is a lot of whining. Kurt Warner clearly fumbled at the end of the game and even if he didn't he had the odds stacked against him. They finally figured out to use the middle of the field in the second half and it worked, that was until he got stripped. Good defenses make adjustments and that is exactly what happened. You can say it was the refs but look at it a thousand times and the ball came out a millisecond before forward motion. It's not a bad call, it's a rule. His first possible fumble was properly overturned and the second one was reviewed and called correctly.
Maybe you should blame Harris' 100 yard interception TD on the refs too and not Kurt Warner. The defense knew that a short slant was coming (that is AZ's bread and butter on short downs) and it was read like a book (or GI Joe forum). I mean it was pretty clear that when he landed he was on top of the tackler but I can understand how emotion can make ones vision cloudy sometimes. Then what else? Oh yea, Santonio Holmes' feet were not in bounds. Or maybe he did not have control. Whatever. He made one of the most spectacular catches you will see ever in a game of that caliber besides last years catch by Tyree. Chris Carter probably popped a chub because that was how he used to roll (minus a super bowl). Tip toes with his hands where nobody could defend plus big Ben finally put one right where it needed to go. The thing is the better team won. AZ had over 100 penalty yards and still gave the Steelers a good fight. The only one that was a little classless was Harris with that stupid personal foul that gave AZ a first down to set up the TD. Was that the refs too? Check the replay in HD since it was not able to broadcast for most of the game. I am a Bears fan so I had no interest in either team but I knew who would pull it off, the better team. Congratulations on the first to 6. Defense wins ballgames and 6 titles. Keep arguing, I love to read sore losers. I've been losing since '85 Last edited by MAJOR BLOOD; 02-02-2009 at 10:31 PM.. |
