What is one of the dumbest things you've ever done? I know personally speaking there have been too many to narrow down to a specific one, but if I had to try it would be this...
When I was 18-19 somewhere around there I started stealing CD's for some reason (probably because for awhile I never got caught) but I use to go to the same store MUSIC PLUS which then became blockbuster music. Anyway I had this perfect little method and I would occasionally buy one even when I was stealing one just to mix it up a little. I only use to do it in the evening when the store manager was working because he was an older heavier set guy and my logic was that if I set off the alarm I could easily out run this guy. Well one night I was in there and he was working and of all the freaking CD's I decided I wanted the soundtrack to Beverly Hills Ninja that night. So once I walk out of the store the alarm beeps and the store manager and I make eye contact and I start to bolt, but as luck would have it out comes the young F'ng track star from Crenshaw High that decides he wants to lay it all on the line for Blockbuster Music. I literally darted through a busy intersection and almost got hit by a car and he still kept after me...once I got across the street I took the CD out and threw it at him, but he literally would not be deterred, he was like a freakin Terminator with one mission! Anyway I got winded and he caught me and we wrestled until the Store manager and security guard caught up and they took me to jail for a couple hours. Needless to say that was the last time I ever stole anything in my life (or spent any amount of time in a holding cell for that matter) and learned my lesson! Anyone else have a stupid moment whether you were caught or not?

i was 17 driving with no glasses , no seatbelt, a bag of weed, ran a stopsign and was speeding.
went to jail lost my liscense for 3 years. since i had no driving liscense i started steeling bicycles and robbing garages. oops forgot to mention i was taking lots of acid and valumes and rohibinals. so i got busted with stolen property. did 5 years of probation then sold weed to a snitch my second felony and went to good old tx prison on a 2 year sentence. got out in a year with a year of parole and then failed 2 piss test for weed and almost went back on parole violation. ok, so i have been on a clean slate for 7 years today, except i still smoke weed |

I grew up competition rifle shooting... I shot until I was 18. I'd received my first rifle when I was 6 and my father, a Vet, raised me on firearms and taught me to respect them, how to treat them, and taught me that guns were not toys. That was great... until I was about 13. I knew the combination to the gun safe and grabbed some black 3F so myself and a friend could make smoke bombs. Well... it was fun for the first few tries. Until we managed to hit a still hot ember in the tray we were using and it went up in our faces. I lucked out with some singed hair... my friend wound up in the hospital with first degree powder burns. I was grounded for the rest of the summer and required to make phone calls to my parents every hour from home to verify that I was still there (no cell phones back then anyway).
Not a fun way to spend a Summer for a 13 year old. But at least I had a lot of Joes to play with |

My friend wanted me to drive him to Petsmart to get a hamster. I told the fool that I didn't have insurance and that I do not want to drive. He persisted and drove me crazy enough to do something REAL DUMB. It was a rainy day and I was doing 50mph southbound on Highway 99 in Lynnwood, Washington in my sweet vintage 1972 Dodge Dart Swinger (only 50000 original miles on it). A local car dealer decided to come out of a parking lot on my right to turn left in his SUV he darted right in front of me. I honked, but there just wasn't enough time. I changed lanes to the left to avoid him, but he just kept on coming. Finally I slammed into him, his car did a 180 degree turn from the impact and the front of my once SWEET dart was gone. I cursed at my hamster loving friend. The cop gave us both tickets. I received the wonderful $500 no insurance ticket. The car dealer did not have insurance either and he already racked up about 28,000 in debt from previous DUI's. I was screwed. I did not have a car for two years after that. Be smart, drive insured! AND KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE.

Married my first wife. She was an evil, soul eating, life draining succubus.
