Ok so my new years resolution was to stop smoking,so I decided to quit cold turkey. It has been 3 days since I had nicotine and I think I doing well,I have only broken 1 plate against the wall and only threatened to choke one of my co workers, lol, I was wondering if any of you recently quit smoking or do any of you have or had any new years resolutions

Well, I'm cutting down on smoking and poptart13 (my wife) quit 2 days ago. Luckily, she's a good-natured person, so I haven't been threatened. Yet.

I have recently quit smoking, thinking its been about 4 or 5 months now. I choose not to count the days, that only seems to make you focus more on the fact that you quit. If you get urge, quickly do something else to distract yourself for a few minutes and the feeling will go away. Remember, when you quit, it's never ok to have just one. Trust me.

I did the smart thing and never tried smoking in the first place.
