At the in-laws this Christmas:
Ham, scalloped potatoes, mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli, two salads, a bunch of cold shrimp, cheese plate, boudain (fresh from Lafayette via UPS), julekake (crazy Christmas bread), a whole bottle of Jameson's mixed with club soda and Rose's Lime, about a trillion cookies, and then for dinner there was teriyaki grilled venison that my nephew fired up. Ugh. It's the anaconda diet - wouldn't/shouldn't need to eat again until the end of January...but New Year's Eve/Day brings another round of dining madness at the hands of the relatives on my side of the family. |
