which is funny, because youre basically the pot calling the kettle black.
Until your post I hadn't seen any sort of zealot behaviour from this thread. Windows zealots are just as bad about not keeping their mouths shut, they are just blind to it because they so focused on bashing the mac user for loving their computer. |

I acknowlege how Macs have advantages over PCs but they are way expensive!
I own a dell that I bought from walmart last july and I have suped this thing up something fierce. I am into video and photo applications and this machine has served me well. Additionally, I think Mac programs are inordinately expensive. PC programs are far more affordable. Also, I grew up using windows items and before that I used IBM DOS SHELL which most folks probably don't remember. I used it on all kinds of CAD programs back in the day when I was in high school. The only time I used a mac was in high school yearbook. I got by ok with it and during the time when I worked as a photographer for the newspaper but I naturally gravitate back to PCs. Call it personal choice. Some people will tell you Macs are more user friendly, but I am here to tell you I have a customer who owns a Mac and although he swears by it, he has had a bear of a time to make the silly thing work.

My mom bought me an apple IIe in 1984. Then we got a mac GS. in the late 80's. In 1993 I got a Mac Performa. In 1997 I got my first Mac power book. In 2002 I got an iMac desktop. In 2004 I got an ibook and two years ago I got a new Mac desktop. I still have all of these machines and they still work. I have never even used a pc. (They have 'em at work but I won't touch 'em.)
I.B.M = I Bought a Mac.

my Imac is coming up on its 4th birthday and still going strong and running faster than PC's owned by other family members. Someday I'll finally upgrade to one of the newer pentium units, but for now this does well. It was definitely worth the money!

Hey, I started this thread because I was curious.
I did want all of you to know a few things. A) I love the ( MY) mac, but I hate and want to kill 99.99% of rich little trust fund I drive a smart car and don't eat meat mac lovers. B) yes, its true, there ARE viruses for the Mac OS. C) Macs last longer, but they are super expensive! D) My wife and daughter own new PCs, and I have to say I am going to buy the new HP touchsceen after Christmas because I believe they are both different for different things. Lets face it, computers all suck, if its not an hourglass spinning on your screen its a stupid colorwheel spinning! And, as you can see in my picture, I am not skinny but I do not waste my time going around talking about my mac. I will help you kill those people!! LOL |

Just to add, one thing that makes me angry is when you see a movie and everyone in the movie is using a mac and they seem to zoom in on the apple on the back of the laptop or monitor through the entire movie., shameless sale pitch!! Have some reserve guys, stupis rich people have been paying too much for your computers since 1976, no need to worry! LOL

Here's the thing, I love my mac for what it does, 99% of mac owners buy it just to tell people " I have a mac". I was in the Apple store in Connecticut and some rich assh*(le was buying their 8 year old a 24" imac ( 1999.99 folks, for those of you who don't know). I know quite a few people who have ipods or iphones and have like 100 songs on them. WTF? I wanted to follow them home and set their house on fire with them in it. LOL
