Just got myself an iMac at work (24" screen) and it is superb. I plan on running fusion on it though to handle my daily duties though.

They were able to run benchmarks that prove that a Mac runs Windoze faster than a PC can... Weird but cool.
Even though my Macbook CAN run Windows I WON'T install it since I have this nifty program called Crossover that will install and run PC games. I've only tried it with Stronghold Crusader but it works... http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxgames/

PC W/vista... Yes, I like my Vista...
Why? My Laptop was $550, looks good, runs great, and a MAC that would have had the same stuff was $1500. Sorry, but I like that fact that if I do need to replace my PC, I only need to spent another $500... My PC is a year old and have had only one virus and that was 8 months ago...

I, myself am faster on a PC than I am on a Mac. And I learned on a Mac. I use keyboard shortcuts constantly and for me personally, I'd rather hit Control rather than Command. The placement of the keys just kind of felt wrong. And my machine is a custom built workstation. It is faster than a standard Mac.
To me I don't really get the hardcore mac vs. hardcore pc debates. For me it is like the whole Ford vs. Chevy. It comes down to personal preference. The reason that Macs are less prone do viruses is that nobody writes viruses targeting macs because they can do more damage by targeting PCs. It isn't that Macs aren't vulnerable, it is just that that PCs are way more prominent, and if someone wants to do damage, they go for where it will have the most impact. (bastards) |

I agree that it's a matter or personal preference.

In my office, I use Mac's for video and graphic production. But for accounting, gaming and for family usage, I have PC laptops.
I prefer Mac's...but it's good for me to have both. I don't get involved in the debates of which is best, to each their own. It's like video game consoles...everyone has their preference but for me, why side with one if you have the opportunity to own them all.

I am a pc guy. Have the same home pc running XP for, get this, 6yrs. Only died once, a month ago, from a virus, and that was my blunder. Use pc's at work everyday.
