i think someone did a thread like this before but i couldnt find it so im going to start my own.
Im going to branch out from action figures for a little bit and say i would like to see a Nintendo anniversary line. Now i know they re-released a lot of games in the mid to late 90's as "classic hits" but i would like to see maybe a limited release of the games that defined Nintendo. some of the most popular hits maybe with some minor updates or something for the OG Nintendo system. Or maybe just a cartridge with a USB link to be able to download anniversary games off Nintendo.com Maybe even a limited Atari release would be interesting too. Much like Gi joe defined what action figures are today, these systems defined what video games are today. It would be a neet little homage to see them hit stores again, even in limited release. |

I'm a sucker for anything retro. I threw or gave most my toys away once I got older. I've dabbled in just about anything released as a anniversary or tribute to toys of my youth. My kids are young so we are still in the Fisher Price/Playskool era at my house (well, my one child at least...my son has moved on to action figures now) one thing I really miss are the Fisher Price Adventure People from the late 70's early 80's. The Rescue Heoes and Imaginext are close but still they don't compare to the classics.
As far as the vintage Atari goes...I bought a 2600 on Ebay a few years ago complete with about 20 or so games. I played it for about a week or so and grew bored with it. It just wasn't the same. That era has forever passed me by. It was fun in a retro way but once that passed it was clear to see just how far games have come. I sold it back and lost money...... |

I would NOT mind seeing 3 3/4 inch D&D figures of some kind, but every time they branch out from just producing games (the cartoon, the abominable movie) the brand seems to fall flat on its face. I think it is just a niche product, and always will be, and will have to focus on that.

He-Man! Which is already coming out, after that I would have to say M.A.S.K.. BUT! - only if the figures were in the original 2" scale so the vehicles would still be affordable and relatively small (plus that was one of the reasons that MASK was so cool to me).
