I like how CG76 (original poster) posted last on page 10 of 17...
I think she may have killed him, or they've made up and are (ahem) busy? Here's hoping for the latter. |

Thanks for the tremendous responses of which I still have to read from top to bottom.
Anyway, I bought some flowers, chocolate and dinner (Chicken Teriyaki) to surprise her tonight. Hopefully it will give me an opportunity to explain. She still hasn't arrived home yet. So I'm waiting for her to arrive ... |

So I'm waiting for her to arrive ... What you should do is auction off the books on the Tank (as collectable "reading material") and buy her something with it, or keep it to at least recoup the cost of the dinner/chocolates/flowers. Which, as a guy who effs up a lot, I waste a lot of money on myself. Throwing it out is stupid of her to ask you to do, if you ask me. Selfish, and inconsiderate. |

thirdly, evlgtr I am an evangelical christian who has seen many miracles that have proved without a doubt to me that Christ is real and I believe that the Bible is the word of God.
Lastly, my official advice for you(although I dont think living with your GF or seeing her naked is right) is too offer a compromise. Ask her if she would be willing to take nude pictures and use those instead of other girls. I would be ticked if my GF was looking at naked guy pics. Thats just me though. I think it is better for people to live together before getting married. There are many things you don't know about someone until you live with them. If someone gets married before learning things that really bother them, then they are stuck with someone they probably shouldn't be with unless they get a divorce. It's better to learn these things before marriage so they don't have to go through a messy divorce. |

That's where you're wrong. An individual cannot decide morality. There are certainly a broad range of views, but that by no means necessitates that any of them, or even a majority of them, are correct. We all agree that premeditated, senseless murder is wrong, but not because of some social brainwashing... it's because we have an inherent sense that it is immoral. That sense comes from somewhere.
Porn may not be what tears a relationship apart, but it certainly can be the catalyst. Take a normal guy who's never been exposed to that kind of thing, married to a similar girl. Both are quite content in their sex life, having never known anything else. Expose that guy to something like that, and suddenly he knows there's more out there. He goes from perfectly content to unhappy, and that's a terrible thing. If you're married, you shouldn't need to go elsewhere for that satisfaction. Otherwise, why get married? I just feel that saying porn is wrong is very broad generalisation. History is full of things that were considered bad or evil at one stage and are now totally acceptable because people have realised over time that its not "the thing" that is the problem, but the way a small minority have translated it. Heavy Metal music was public enemy number 1 in the early eighties and people that listened to it were considered devil worshippers but over time attitudes have changed as a new generation has taken over, and with the adult industry slowing being accepted into the mainstream worldwide like it is,i'd be willing to bet the majority would have very diff views from us in 20 years time. |

I would say it has always been made out to be bad. Just because it is bad to you doesn't mean everyone should agree with that opinion. Quote:

Individuals can and do decide morality. Different people have different morals. Your example of murder is an extreme one used to back up your point of view. Not everyone bases their morals off of what a particular book says they should think or do. In addition, those that do rely on a book to tell them what their morals should be don't all base them off the same book. People in this country are not required to base their morals on books that were written thousands of years ago, that is one of our basic freedoms. There have been many examples in this thread of porn bringing couples together. Although it may not be right for you, it does work for some couples. |

I agree. I have lived with two different girlfriends (one is currently my wife). Even though my breakup with my first live in girlfriend was nasty I am thankful it happened as I was able to learn from it and mature because of it. When my wife and I first moved in together (we weren't married at the time) I was able to use my previous experience and work thru any issues we had. Then a year and a half later we were married (and have been for 7 years now). |

Tell me the name of someone whose mate completely satisfies them, and I will tell you the name of a liar.
Anyway, I would never seriously date someone who was so uptight about that sort of thing. So it is a Playboy, so you like to "satisfy yourself" from time to time. So what? I can't stand "drama queens" who would freak out over crap like that. You all can have them. Life is too short. |
