Chinese Democracy

I have to say I'm getting pretty excited about the upcoming release of the NEW GUNS N ROSES album (or not-so new) called Chinese Democracy.

The album release date is Nov 26th '08. GNR announced this album several years ago and never released it. They added members (most noteably a solid guitarist named BUCKETHEAD). Then after recording the album they lost members (BH included). Now they have another guitarist named BUMBLEFOOT. I'm not too sure on him since all I have heard so far is re-recorded tunes that BHead originally recorded.

Anyway, I'm pretty stoked. I've been hoping this album would hit for years now. I LOVE the song BETTER. Theres a few you can listen to on the following links. You can even pre-order the album. It will be exclusive to Best Buy.

I'll more than likely buy it since I am old headbanger from back in the day , but I don't know if I'll run right out to get it on the 26th either.

Probably wait until it drops to under $15 or so. Only heard the title track so far, ok, but nothing to light my life on fire. Not like first time I heard "You Could Be Mine" of of UYI I & II or some of the others off of that.

About the only thing they've done I liked since UYI was the cover of "Sympathy for the Devil" on the "Interview with the Vampire" soundtrack.

Didn't like "Oh My God" off of "End of Days" :(, did not spend the money on the live CD either.

I did buy "The Spaghetti Incident", that had a couple of good covers but wasn't anything to write home about.

We'll see..................

Let's see if they blow off another release date.

P.S. Axl's vocals sound much better on the album version than they did on the demos that leaked a couple years back.

There is NO denying that "Appetite" is what could be called a "classic" album of it's type of music, as is "Shout at the Devil" and some of the other albums again of this type and time period that really just stand out from all the other metal / hair band crap that surrounded them at the time.

Trust me, I have most of them. I know a lot of people do not like this music and think it is all crap (as I do of rap music ) but there are some of the albums like this that really are good. Just like I understand there ARE some rap albums that really are important to that type of music too ("Liscenced To Ill", "The Chronic", "As Nasty As they Wanna Be", etc).

Again just as some people will say that Warrant and some of the other "metal bands" of the time are crap (and they were ), so was Vanilla Ice. - You get my point.

At least GNR stood out as one of the really more "harder" bands and is considered a classic now, a lot like AC/DC. Madien, Ozzy, Crue, and some of the other better metal / hard rock bands of the 80's.

I got alot of respect for Axel.. even if he is an asshole alot of times... If this album is coming out in less than a week.. how come no single yet??.. no promo??.. no nothing..?,, I have doubts about it.. & it iasnt leaked on the net yet either.. hmm..??..


has anyone heard any songs from it yet..?? & not the old leaked version of CD .. but something fully produced from the actual album..
