Heineken....but then again...that is the only beer I drink period. I think this is a great thread for us that do not dare to drink anything else....

Yeah, I'm gonna write down a lot of these names and try them out. New things are always good!

Beer begins and ends at the Straub Brewing Company in St. Mary's, PA--home of the eternal tap. It's what it sounds like, and it's FREE.
Last year they introduced the Straub Special Dark that's currently clinking around whenever my fridge door opens. Regular Straub and the Special Dark are the top 2 of ten, and that's all you need : ). |

how about the belgian monk brewed "chimay"? very tasty, a bit pricy but worth it.
also..i'm guessing there aren't many New Yorkers in this thread yet, since I see no mention of anything from the Brooklyn Brewery. Those are the best. This is the time of year where they have pumpkin beer too |

Not in particular order:
1. Abbey Leffe 2. McChouffe (any variety) 3. Chimay (any variety) 4. Lindemans Peach Lambic (all four so far are Belgians...time to branch out) 5. Dogfish Head Raison d'etre 6. Dogfish Head Pumpkin Ale 7. Red Brick Station Red Ale and Spooner's Stout; unfortunately only available AT the brewery, but if you ever happen to bear near Baltimore it is worth the side trip 8. Wychwood Hobgoblin Ale (all of Wychwood's products are superior) 9. Boddington's 10. Smithwick's I note I listed a lot of European brews, but I don't mean to slight American brewing. America is the center of the craft-brewing world, with unbelievable creativity and variety in the use of ingredients. It's a great time and place to be a beer drinker. Note that while I am a 'beer snob' I also thoroughly enjoy Yuengling Lager (the beer I grew up on) and Miller High Life (the only beer that was both affordable and palatable while I was a poor grad student in Boston). You can't go wrong with so many micro and craft breweries in this country...Troeg's, Millenium, Lancaster Brewing Co, the list really just never ends. England and Belgium are my two beer Meccas, though.

I never drank much beer, I've been more into Ciders, Wines & Vodka
But if my only option is beer then I have to go with Blue Moon |
