...for Joes or anything else?
Just curious how many people are braving the crowds and lines for good deals? I doubt I will... Something about the whole Black Friday thing seems to alter the feeling of the season for me. I love CDs, DVDs, toys, etc...but around this time of year, I really try to let go of my material desires, as best I can. However, you can get some great deals on gifts for other people, and for yourself...so I definitely understand the rush. |

Last year I was able to pick up a bunch of cobra troopers. Hard to find last year for me around that time. It seemed like the targets all put out several cases that day.
I think with the economy being what it is black friday wont be as busy at some places. The targets near me were empty last year. Best buy will always be busy though.

I try and avoid Black Friday like the plague...
But the wife usually drags my ass out of the house at God awful hours. Though this year we are considerably more poor than usual. |

im one of those really wierd people that like going out shopping and seeing the mass hysteria of people waiting in line three hours to buy the latest elmo, to sell him on ebay, but i work durring the day, so i wont be going......but, i do think that stores are holding back new items, and clearancing the old (TARGET) for this wonderful shopping day, just think of all the kids that dont even want blue/wraith and are just going to get it because its the one grandma picked up hahahahaha

Nah I tried the black Friday thing last year and found the frustration far out weighed the rewards.I was only able to get 2 things I wanted on a list of 50 lol. You wait for the sale to begin(very early in the morning bw)rush in with the stampede, fight for an item before the 2 minute sell out, then it's over lol.I started with wal-mart.I was after a 19 inch t.v. that was on sale, for my 2 year old daughter.I ran in with the insane crowd managed to get one into the buggy and then proceeded to shop for the other sale items on my list to find almost all were gone within the 10 minutes or so I was in the store. We then left Wal-Mart to hit up the local mall for black Friday deals only to find the same.......already all sold out and within minutes. It's not worth getting up that early in the freezing cold, waiting untill the store opens to get one or two sale items.I will never do that again!!!!!!!! People are insane on black friday and in order to be successful you almost have to plan a raid party with at least ten people, all going after different items in the store at the same time to even make it worth it.

I love going out on black friday, whether I am shopping for anything or not. I seem to thrive on the chaos.
I used to work retail and I was there the day Episode 1 toys were put out. I was also there the day PS2 first came out, Xbox day, gamecubes too, they were some of the best days I have ever had at work. so I plan on being there black friday just to thrive on the chaos |

Funny thing is last year my best friend was out and he had this brilliant idea: "Let's go to Toys R Us!"
So we did... the line wrapped around the store twice and we actually found some cool new Star Wars figures. We walked into the newly opened Babies R Us (that is attached to the TRU) with the figures and there was no one in line at the register. Paid up and left waiving at the people that didn't put 2 + 2 together. |

I told my wife I will be in town but not with her. I will be trying to find Joes and stuff at Target and Wal Mart and probably TRU if all those stores stock up. But yes chaos does insue on this very day. I love it when people try to cut in line after the doors open and then start receiving a good ole ass whooping!!! If you aren't willing to wait like other people then you just deserve to get a tooth knocked smooth out!! I think one year 2 women fought in the aisle after 1 chopper that was on the shelf at Walmart. It is mass hysteria on that day. In fact I decided to call that very day "THE DAY AFTER!" It pretty much sums it up for me.
