Okay Tankers,
Who is watching a Halloween or horror style movie tonight? So far this week, I have made it through: Maximum Overdrive Hannibal Ghostbusters Fright Night Signs I am currently on "Monster Squad," but have to get up really early for work tomorrow. I have Saw I and II on DVD, and should have time for those this weekend. Is Saw III any good? I heard Saw IV and V weren't all that great? |

The original Halloween is awesome.
I also liked the second one, but what in the hell inspired Halloween 3? Halloween 4 was pretty good. Was Part 5 the one where Michael Myers was running people down in the vintage black Camaro? I never saw Halloween part 6, 7, 8, or 39. Are any of the new ones worth watching? |

Monster Squad is classic! Wolfman's got nards! lol (If only Stephen Sommers' VanHelsing was that good... Still hoping for an awesome Joe flick from him though...) In addition to that I have also made it through Ghostbusters I & II, The Village and Young Frankenstein.

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of the Van Helsing movie either, but Monster Squad kicks ass.
Was The Village any good? I really liked Sixth Sense, Unbreakable and Signs. Didn't catch any of the other Shayman films. What is the word? |

No, all of the new Halloweens were awful. Rob Zombie's retelling is mediocre, too. As for Halloween 3, well there's a good story to tell. Originally, John Carpenter wanted to make a new Halloween movie every so often with a totally different concept and a story that had nothing to do with the previous story told. But when Halloween and Michael Myers were such a huge box-office success, he was reluctantly talked into making a sequel. Halloween 3 was going to be Halloween 2 originally.

I think that Part IV was Return of Michael Myers and Part V was Revenge of Michael Myers. Part VI was Curse of Michael Myers, but never quite made it to that level. H20 was the one after Part VI, correct? Then came the Rob Zombie one, right? |
