I hardly think so.
SUE THEM FOR EVERYTHING THEY HAVE. Get the fillings out of their fracking teeth as well. Teach these bastards a lesson about destruction and theft of private property. A man's vehicle is an extension of a man's home. I am the proud owner of a 2005 Mustang GT convertible, and the Castle Doctrine extends to it where I live. To paraphrase that guy from Pulp Fiction, "No judge, no jury, just shoot them (for f@cking with Travolta's car)." His vehicle has lost value over this. Even replacing the window, it is now devalued as a result of the destruction. Judging from the look of the window, it looks like they smashed it with a brick or hammer, which proves to be malicious intent to me. These kids need to be fried hard. Hopefully they will be butt-raped in prison. Like I said, people have been shot and killed over stuff like this where I live. I may have shot them myself if I caught them doing that to my vehicle. Thats a bit extreme. Look I am not here to argue, but his car, your car, and my car devalued the second we drove it off the lot. Cars are a poor choice for return on investments, unless we are talking exotic and, even then, you have to not drive them to retain value. I hope he can re-coop his costs and those kids will (if they are capable of learning) not do anything like this again.

People don't ever mess with me because I have plenty of warning signs on my vehicles and home. Here is an example of one: http://www.bumpertalk.com/bt/images/items/BC050A.jpg |

I got a great trick or treat today $276 worth of it. 3 little schmucks brock my window today in front of my house and stole my ipod and gps 10 minutes after i got home. To bad they got caught right up the block 2 minutes after they did it because they seen a van filled with cops and started acting strange passing my stuff between them so the cop figured something was wrong and stopped them and arrested them. Now the little a**holes are going to be charged with a felony. Happy Halloween
The lesson here is don't leave high end items in your vehicle within a visible range of criminals. |

I'm with you dude! Kids barely get a slap on the wrist these days so they never really learn anything and as a result don't have any respect for adults or others so they go back to doing the same crap again. If they got a severe enough punishment (ex: a severe ass-whoopin on top of having to pay damages) , they may think twice the next time around.
Someone once posted here that Hispanic parents tend to point at their belts whenever their children start to act wild. I think that is a good philosophy. Kids need to receive a variety of punishments for their wrongful behavior. Give them the belt, give them the toilet plunger stick, give them "time out," take their toys/games away from them, ground them from socializing, etc... And when you ground them, tell them that they are grounded until further notice. Don't give them a specified date for return to normalcy. They will just wait it out, and go back to mayhem. A mixture of psychological and brutal punishments is the best way to go. |
