Anyone hiring?

I know this probably sounds insane, but I am trying everything else I can think of to no avail, so I figured I'd use my resources as I sit here all day.

Thought I'd start a thread to try and help those of us out of work now, and maybe also let some of those who are looking for help network here a little.

I would not post any personal info here and keep it strictly private as far as e-mails and what not (I'm sure no one wants read everyone's resumes all day long ), but just be smart as you would any other personal info online.

I'll start -

I'm in the So. Fla area, looking basically for anything, and have been out of work since Jan of this year. I've mainly been in the auto industry and customer service for 22+ years, but as I said I am looking to get out of it and into something new. I've got managerial experience, but am not afraid to start over again to get into a new field, and I am not able to relocate at this time.

If anyone can help or knows anyone, please either PM me here and I'll shoot you my e-mail and other info so we can talk privately.

Yeah, in Automotive Technology and Service Dept. Management (no sh*t, for real) from a General Motors sponsored trade school and local community college program.

Works great in the auto field, sucks if you're trying to get out of the car business.

$700 a mo. in child support, going back to school even part time is not an option right now. I literally need a full time job, and THEN a part time job just to make it all work. :(

how long were you at your last job? Surely companies look at that. Sorry to go off subject but if you owe child support and go unemployed for a while how do the courts handle that? They understand or total jerks about it.

in cali it will just build up in back pay and at some point they can throw you in jail, or mark you as a deadbeat dad (means you can never get custody of the kids), or take your license away till the back pay is brought up. best thing to do if you lose your job would be to immediatly go to court to have it readjusted to whatever your income is.
