In all honesty,
I don't know how you can overlook David Wright at 3B for the Gold Glove...and why not give the NL MVP and Cy Young to Lidge - he was PERFECT, how often does that come along?! 48 for 48 - if he blows two of those games, the NL could have been a whole different beast. Quote:
Okay, Gold Gloves......
NL P - Greg Maddux (Padres/Dodgers) AL P - Kenny Rogers (Tigers) NL C - Jason Kendall (Brewers) AL C - Dioner Navarro (Rays) NL 1B - Adrian Gonazalez (Padres) AL 1B - Carlos Pena (Rays) NL 2B - Brandon Phillips (Reds) (I almost picked Freddy Sanchez) AL 2B - Dustin Pedroia (Red Sox) (I almost picked Akinori Iwamura) NL 3B - Troy Glaus (Cardinals) AL 3B - Alex Rodriguez (Yankees) NL SS - Jimmy Rollins (Phillies) AL SS - Michael Young (Rangers) NL LF - Ryan Braun (Brewers) AL LF - Raul Ibanez (Mariners) NL CF - Nate McLouth (Pirates) AL CF - Torii Hunter (Angels) NL RF - Hunter Pence (Astros) (Andre Ethier was a close second) AL RF - Nick Markakis (Orioles) (Bobby Abreu was right behind him) |

David Wright was my second choice, but I think Glaus had a better year with the glove in 2008.

All right Darth Brett, I'll accept that...I just know that people around the country hate the Mets as much as they hate the Yankees, so I'm going to defend number 5 as much as I can.

I was quite happy to see this finally happen. Hope the Eagles can do this well real soon. Some of my neighbors shot fireworks.
