Jumpin' the gun there!
I have plenty, but we'll do some of the highlights. Waited in line for TPM figures...spent about 400.00 that night. Camped out in front of the theater for two nights for both TPM and AOTC. Then, proceeded to shave my head and dress up as Darth Maul for TPM. Dressed as Anakin for AOTC. Dressed as Sidious for ROTS. Took pictures of a half naked chick straddling my Darth Maul Sideshow Bust. (and no, you can't see them) Had the U.S.S. Flagg displayed on the dining room table. New the night stocking employees at Wal-MArt so well, that i had my alarm set at 3:00 am to wake me up, call the store and have them let me know if they had any new Star Wars figures in. I could keep going, but I think I've made my point. ... though I don't think half naked girls qualify as nerdy. If you have access to a half naked girl at all that's willing to have pictures taken with toys/busts/etc. it shouldn't qualify! ;-) The Flagg on the other hand, might... Guess I better get my Mamba and Cobra Commander statue and Havoc off the dining room table before my wife gets home from work! I agree... my mom refuses to buy me anything I "need" for any holiday/birthday... she always goes to my wife for the most up-to-date list of toys/comics I'm looking for. Moms rock. |

Well I actually ran out of the store when I first saw those two 5-packs!
No lie. I popped into Target on a random evening and for some reason had a cart in tow. First thing, I spotted the new Flash Gordon Special Edition DVD set and put into the cart. Thinking, "Sweet!, I haven't seen that movie since the '80's" Then I went about 20 feet further to the toy section and spotted the Joe 5-pack and immediately put them in the cart as well. Totally forgetting why I can there in the first place, I'm now making my way to the check out when the ramifications of what I'm about to do suddenly hits me. I'm about to start collecting Joes again! After almost 20 years. I abandoned the cart and bolted out the door as quick as I could! Only to come back the next day and buy everything anyway. |

Just when I think I'm out, they pull me back in!!!!!
Someday I'll drag out my huge vintage collection and take some pics to share. Then you'll know why I was so scared that night! |

When i first found the legions pack.I played the hell out of that music box,i got a few funny stares and my brother was 20 paces ahead of me.My brother would tell me people were looking and i would say "Does this smile look like a man that cares?"I ball my fist up and starting singing(i'm a very bad singer) "Cobra,Cobraaa".Maybe that why he went to the car...mental note for later.

I went to an all Star Trek fan convention about 11 years ago just for fun. I was WAY out of my league and a little scared for my life, but I did get to see Mr. Sulu. Funny thing is there was some old guy there with a skullet (bald up front, party in the back) dressed as a Klingon. He actually brought a banjo and had Sulu sign it.
