As an adult, does going to stores at all hours of the night or on lunch break and 'speed walking' to the Joe section with no regard for the sick or elderly count as nerdy. LOL
jk (about the sick and elderly) *Side note* My wife is embarassed to show my "toy room" which if full of almost 300 25th anniversary GI Joes, all the 25th vehicles (multiples of them), Transformers (G1, movie, etc), Horror figures (lots of them), and many other misc. toys. I get called a nerd everytime I have guests over, yet I proudly display that room as my favorite in the house. I have special shelves built for them and am quickly running out of room after I bought the jets. Getting kicked to the basement after I finish it. |

Probably a GI Joe "commercial" I did for class in 6th grade with my buddy. I don't know about you, but when I was in 6th grade, playing with GI Joes was a big nerd no-no.
Anyways, we had several figures and vehicles in a diorama we made and used the Condor Z25 to 'fly' overhead and drop missles on the Joes and enact a short battle scene. If you remember, the missles would 'pour' out of that thing - it was awesome. Mind you this was all enhanced by the GI Joe sound effects box I had at the time too. I think the commercial was promoting the Condor Z25 and the sound effects box, not sure though. Then at the end of the commercial we zoomed the camera in on us with our Joes and yelled, "Yo Joe!"

Yeah, like many others here, frequenting and posting on a website forum dedicated to the appreciation of a particular plastic toy line is the pinnacle of my nerd-dom. My wife is more than happy to remind me of this any time she sees me on the site... oh the joy of it all... I have to go out of my way to re-establish my manhood afterwards so she will stop bothering me about it... that part's not so bad.

Hung out at Target a half an hour before the store opened so I could be the first one in and buy the exclusive jets since they were listed as in stock on the website.

Collecting so many Joes that I have to keep them in my old room at my parents' house because there's no room in my apartment.

Having famous relatives made me an instant "nerd" with people who don't even know me. It also made me "cool" to people who don't even know me too (but I always knew they were sucking up to me just to say...."I know _____ cousin")
Oh, and collecting GI JOE isn't too cool either.
