Okay since the season "began" in Prague on Saturday, I guess I'm a little late....Anyway, figured we needed a hockey thread.....Post smack talk (keep civil*), discuss games, argue about trades, whatever. It's all good because the drought is over!
oh yeah, be prepared for San Jose dominance

It seems like their just one or two steps from being a good team to becoming a great one. Then the Gaborik situation is still up in the air, so I don't get a sense of them moving forward. Hopefully the season will have a few pleasant surprises.
When are those Sharks going to live up to the hype? Think this might be their year? and why this year when they couldn't do it for the last couple of years? I really don't understand what's holding that team back. | |

Was there a personality clash (Wilson/Thorton/Marleau) that we east coasters were not aware of?

Not everybody is cut out for the pressure cooker of being a goalie in Montreal, Detroit, NY, Chicago or the other big hockey towns. It even got to Roy by the end of his time there. I hope Price can make a better showing in the playoffs this year. He looked shaky when I saw him this past spring.
