Besides if Thornton can beat the Empire's best as in your sig, I don't see why winning the cup is a problem. |

Well as a former Stars fan (I guess I still am a little) I always appreciated the fits the Sharks gave the Avs and Wings in the playoffs.
It'd be nice to see the Wild make it past the first round again. |

Always respected that they hang their banners up in the Wild's arena (name escapes me). Plus from what I've seen a win in Dallas is pretty much a win in Minn. |

I agree about the whole Stars/Wild thing, although many Minnesotians don't agree. You have a mediocare franchise in the North Stars who "might" get a remodeled Met Center, they go to Dallas get bought by Hicks, become an elite team, win the cup, and get a new area. Meanwhile, Minny gets a brand new start with the Wild, the planets aline so they get a brand new area that is agrueably one of the best in the league, and have put a competetive product on the ice.
By the way, I always think of the Sharks as the North Stars West by the way they got their start with the Grund bros. |

I grew up on Mario Lemieux and Paul Coffey when the Pens won back to back in the early 90's. I lived up in Western PA then. My folks still live up there and I try to catch a hockey game whenever I'm up around the holidays. I still have a Lemieux jersey from when they had that awful logo after the cup wins.
I'm hoping (as I was last season) that the Eastern Conference Finals are the Pens vs. Caps. That would be a great series!
Of course we are a long way from there... We'll see in about 100 games or so...
