IMO the Wings need to finish off the Ducks tonight. They have them on the ropes and need to finish it now. They need their strongest game yet tonight, and then rest to get ready for the youthful Hawks. If they don't, CHI could get out ahead of them next series. I by no means see them as an easy team for DET. They have matured a lot this season and have tons of young, fast talent. DET (assuming they finish off the Duckies) will have their work cut out, just to keep up with them. They'll need to keep it physical to slow them down, and then play puck possession big time to tire them out.
Ultimately Sharke can pick the next round's loser by making that team his new avatar. It really is just that simple. Last edited by Captain Carstein; 05-12-2009 at 05:28 PM.. |

Now that Detroit is playing up to the potential of the Champs that they are, everybody wants to chear them on. Just goes to show you why there's so many Wings jerseys around at any city in the league. I love being from Detroit, and having been a life long fan of them. Look at how bad Osgood was being ripped apart before the playoffs started. All the questions swirling around about if he was going to be good enough. I guess he put that to bed pretty quick. I say if you want to root them on, then jump on board. The wagon is big enough. Go Wings!!!

You know, I would be a nervous break if the playoff team I was watching/rooting for had Osgood as the goalie. Realizing that any shot at any time could go in would be horrible to live with. I know that can be said about any shots, but confidently assuming your goaltender will stop it is a world of difference then having the question mark pop up every time.

so speaking of sticking w/ shitty teams, Tochette named coach of TBL. now all they need is a blueline and they're set. I just hope to see the day again where they have a blueline, decent goalie, coach, and offensive power all in the same season again.....

Still waiting patiently to see who the Wild hire as its new GM, and in turn who that guy hires for their new coach. With all the possible culture/philosophy/style of play changes and free agency/trades, I'm very interested in what type of team I get to root for next season.
