I'm not a huge fan or anything. I just think its a great story because he was put on waivers (twice) by Tampa Bay, then they end up trading him to Carolina, and his father died in March. Not only is he scoring, but most of his goals have been huge for then team.

Did you see the play where Datsyuk tried to pass to himself by flipping the puck from the back of the goal in front of the goalie.
Wings ftw!

Not a bad trick. Not the greatest idea ever, but if it worked...

Wings got the Ducks on the brink now. Gotta love it! Now, if they can go in and play like they did in game four and manage not to get gooned in the Pond. I enjoyed what I saw today's game a lot (besides that weeny Ray "I wish I was a Duckie" Ferraro's commentating). It was a good game for them, but DET's third goal absolutely should not have counted (and I readily admit it). So, I guess they kind of got that Hossa one back in a way. One bad call deserves another. Otherwise, I thought the refs did a pretty good job in the second and third period that I got to watch. Two goals in 39 seconds was awesome! Nice to see Hudler and Helm giving secondary scoring support. The Wings need more of that this year.

Here's hoping it's Dats' best game in the series on Tuesday! |

Your prediction is looking a lot stronger now than it was three games ago, that's for sure. I think their poise and experience from last season has brought them back from 2 down. WAS has been everything from awesome to terrible, Ovie being the awesome and Green, well, not. Losing Gonchar is gonna hurt though, if not against WAS, then against their next opponent. But it is good news for them that they are getting good secondary scoring now too, w/ Crosby not. And Malkin proves it's better to be lucky and good than any one of the two...

I think Ovechkin is a bit of a hot-head. He has such great talent but he works so hard to urk the other team that he loses his team concept himself. Maybe he'll become more "Crosby-like" as he grows more savvy with time. I'm a huge CAVS fan and a huge PENS fan. So between the NBA & NHL playoffs I'm having a great time!

I do admit that some canadians really are going overboard right now, but to be honest, a relocation to southern Ontario IS sustanable. probably more so than in Phoenix. I'm sorry, but its really falling apart there.
Winnepeg isn't really a fair comparison. The whole Province doesn't have the same population as Kingston (for example). Quebec is though. Yes, the canadian treams had their own drought a few years ago (I think it was more than 5 now) but they're strong now, and look to remain so... I'm all for the relocation. The man's willing to finance it, and I don't know why Betman is stalling. No one in Phoenix has stepped up. as for Bettman v Bastille, A) it's not Bettman's call, sorry to disappoint but up to owners B) Bastille has really gone about getting a team the wrong way all 3 times now. the man is his own worst enemy when it comes to getting a team. the last thing I'll say regarding PHO (until something fun pops up ) is that the real shame is that had they put the team a 100 mil over in Albuquerque, NM it would have been a success w/ a built in hockey market. but he did sooooooo well on the poker circuit! Wow. Yeah, I haven't watched much of VAN over the years, but I did catch a bit of last nights' game. He really is "so hot right now". It's good to see some serious world class goaltending (some of them quite young) in the playoffs this season. I was worried the quality had diminished a few years back when all the up and coming goalies seemed way too dependent on supersized equipment (reference Garth Snow's shoulder pads and Patrick Roy's amazing nightshirt sweater). Good times.

think that catches me up from latest trip.....
