I forgot to mention that I have Versus as well so I get to watch three series at once (in PIP) in the first round

I only get FSD and VS......so if the Wings are knocked out, I'm probably done watching except for VS.

CBC is the only station that gives me the starters of all the lines and defensive pairs at the beginning of the game. It is a small thing but I like to know who is paired with who on visiting teams

Great game tonight. I was a little nervous when Ozzie looked like he tweaked his groin muscle, but he pulled through and Detroit can rest up a bit before the next round. Go Wings!!!

MMAAASSSOOONNN...hahah! I will tell ya from being at game 2 on Saturday and watching these last two, I don't think anyone will be able to keep up with our skill and experience. I am a little apprehensive about playing Anaheim, but if Ozzie is 100% we will have nothing to worry about. What will be interesting to see is if people in the "D" will get on Osgood about giving up 5 goals, but they forget the 3 Cups he has won for Hockeytown. GO WINGS!!!!

it's not over til it's over but it's over for my Sharks
ANH should be DET's only worry however I do see VAN possibly pushing them to 7. DET can handle whoever comes out of the CHI/CAL series easily though (especially if its CHI).

I will always watch the Wings on CBC even though my local station has the same game
CBC is the only station that gives me the starters of all the lines and defensive pairs at the beginning of the game. It is a small thing but I like to know who is paired with who on visiting teams I don't know, I've always found their coverage to be good, but not great. I know VS has its issues, but they have come a long way. Re: Sharks... Wow... just wow. I watched the first period and thought they were in that game. I was kind of hoping they'd pull that one out to make it a longer series at least. I guess the more things change... well, you know the rest... Here's hoping they can goon the Duckies a little bit at least before it's all over. Soften them up a little for DET. I'm hoping they do but really don't see SJS coming back. Going down in 5 to the number 8 is really embarassing (it happened to the Wings a few years back) so I'm hoping they can win at least one more. But SJS will continue to carry the playoff monkey... Sorry Sharkie. That's why I was so happy to see SJS have to face ANH in the first round. They really are a perfect 'spoiler' team. DET will have to be extremely disciplined to beat them. Now, Darth. You can't fault me for enjoying when I know my buds are sweating it out... Especially when DET finally got a sweep (for like the first time since the '98 cup) If CAL wins the series, I'm sure you will forgive me for it... BTW, Real classy by the CBJ fans last night littering the ice when their team screwed themselves at the end. Nice... I was also finding myself rooting for PHI last night (Sorry stburr91). Knowing very well that PIT is likely the top threat in the East (BOS got it even easier then DET drawing MTL in the first), I want to see them slowed down as much as possible by the time they reach the finals. I'm hoping Malkin is as worn out by the finals as he was last season. If they face NJ next round, that should be a good speed bump (or possibly worse) for them too . BOS will kill NYR, but I think could fall to PIT or NJ, so long as either stays healthy, motivated and has a hot goalie. (But again, a good long fight of a series is great for the west winner...) So far so good... |
