Borat was preposterously over praised. I liked the spirit of what Cohen was trying to do but I did not like the results. And I don't think it is fair to say that it wasn't praised enough...the man won a Golden Globe for it. It's no Oscar, but still. I would also throw "Anchorman" into the preposterously overrated category; the movie had about 10 funny minutes.
Fun Fact: the driving school Borat went to was the same one I did. Same instructor, too.

I have to agree with Zer0G and The Conflict. I thought Kill Bill Volume 1 was boring up until she went to get the sword... then I only became a little more interested. I even walked out during the fight scene with those Crazy 88 guys... I could appreciate the cheese factor, I just thought it got tool old too fast. However, I will admit that Volume 2 was more enjoyable. But then again I only saw it once...

Most overated, that would probably be Kill Bill, or the Saw series

I know I'll probably gonna get burned at the stake here because everyone loves it but I really don't like The Godfather/Godfather II. They are well made, I just personally can't stand these movies.

Escape From New York.
Somehow I missed this flick as a child. So, for several years any time I would tell somebody that I had never seen Escape From New York their jaw would hit the floor and they would act as if I just insulted their mother. Long story short, I was convinced to finally sit down and watch it and I was unimpressed to say the least. I know it has a huge cult following, but it just didn't do anything for me. |
