i think it was fixed. pulled Randy out of retirement just so he could lose the belt to someone. The "big shot" from Lesnar was barely a graze behind the ear...and it looked like Randy just flopped straight down. Lesnar brings ratings, so it would have been a perfect oponent to claim the title. The announcers seemed in on it too...talking about what a CRUSHING BLOW Lesnar put on...please.

I have to agree that the "BIG" shot was a bit overstated, but it was still a fun fight to watch.
I hope that Mir beats Nogueira so that Brock can avenge the earlier loss.

Thanks for the link . I gotta be honest that big shot did have a pop to it and you can hear the impact. I know for some reason people either hate or love wrestling( and wrestlers) on this board but I think it was legit. The question is can he keep the belt longer than one fight ?

When I heard of the fight a week or so ago, my thinking of Randy coming back to UFC after appearing at Affliction was to "drop the belt"
Now after reading the results, wish it gone a bit further. |

Theres wasn't much to the punch don't let the impact noise fool you. However getting hit in the temple is rough and can drop you with little or no power.
Also there aren't many fighters in the UFC HW division thta could take Lesnar due to his sheer size. I don't think Mir will be able to pull a second victory against Lesnar. |

I love Randy, but knew Brock would catch him coming in or during one of the exchanges. This puts an end to Randy/Fedor in my book.

As far as Brock not having much on the punch, that can be highly deceptive. Getting hit by a train at 5 mph. is MUCH different then by getting hit by a wiffleball at 100 mph. Need I say more? |
