J) And Squaretrade! Screw all 3. PayPal & ebay are both anti-2nd amendment douchies.
Squaretrade sent me an email 9-10 months after I left feedback for one of their sellers. They pestered me with emails trying to get me to withdraw a well-deserved negative feedback. The asswipe seller didn't protect the mib Transformer, it got all banged up in shipping. The seller wouldn't cover shipping n' only offered me $10. The shipping was $9, $19 total. The shitforbrains MF'er crammed (and I mean 'crammed') it into a box with no padding of any kind. Squaretrade is a joke. It's just a service to keep shitty sellers in business. If you're a good seller you don't need to pay for their service. All I do is Money Orders & Cashiers Checks, I refuse to use PayPal. I'm all done with ebay and the s***n, h***a, p***n, etc, etc. What the hell was that garbage. It's a shame ebay had such a huge part in Transformers the movie........ When this generation is older they can tell their kids stuff like this: "Son (or Daughter), ebay was a horrible place to shop back when we had that thing called the internet. Back when they made it easier for wives to cheat & gold dig while their husbands busted ass at work all day to bring home the bacon" Not that wives n' girlfriends are meeting "friends" on ebay, that's what myspace is for. The internet.. the greatest & worst invention brought to you by our beloved friend and saviour, the earth friendly, "global warming" awareness activist, Mr. Al Gore everyone! *applauds* Now everyone switch to biodiesel, we need to fuel our vehicles with food people! Screw starving people in third world countries, we need vegetables and we need them now! Ok, now lets raise vegetable prices like we did with the oil! Let's control the masses with vegetables! Monsanto GMO veggies anyone? Come on now, you don't want frankenstein catfish DNA in your tomato? No third legs or eyeballs for you either? Darn.. Your rant reminded me of another little gem of "crazy" I happened upon today: Time Cube Good for a laugh. It'll make you feel remarkably sane and normal if you ever question yourself. Meanwhile, back to the Ebay thing... I wonder if the movement of fees to the final value amount is an attempt to stop sellers doing things like listing a $50 item for $1 with $49 in "shipping and handling"? There is one section of the populace who might like the new rules. What it might mean is that there are far less people on there just trying to make a buck, and it'll go back to being a place to find a hard to find item from the past rather than a marketplace for "secondary retailing", a.k.a. "scalping". There was a day on ebay that if you typed "gi joe" you got only cool old vintage figures and 12 in. dolls. Now, you have to sift through the 5 million auctions for 25th dukes, CG's, and "rare HTF" figures that were just MADE three weeks ago. I, for one, will not miss that. If the new ebay rules keeps even ONE scalper from trying to make his measley 2-3 dollars and makes him leave that fig on the shelf for a collector or kid to have, I personally think it's a good thing. Don't forget, for the overwhelming majority of us, we don't "need" ebay to get our stuff, in fact it has made it more difficult to get our stuff at retail. |

EXACTLY!......and he's not talking porn either!
I for one will NOT use them anymore due to their BS anti-second amendment policy. :( Someone needs to remind them that w/o the second amend., they would NOT have the kind of company they have and be able to run it any way they want either. :(:(:( There is absolutely no argument that can be made that will convince me that it is a good idea to sell weaponry like that over eBay. This is a case where they got it right...

Wow..I never even read this. How can they possibly stop me from telling someone to send me a money order? And if that happens, people will just start adding the 3-6 percent on top of the price and then WE pay for it as a consumer!!!

hehe, that one made me snicker. i'd say there is a HUGE backstory to that torrent of anger, one i'm confident i really don't want to know.
ebay was great, before it was the global giant it is now. you coudl find just about anything and it was from people just like us. the advent of the powerseller and ebay stores i think were the begining of the end. all we want now it what ebay once was, a simple auction house for the average joe. funny how that happens huh.

Am I crazy for completely understanding everything sweeper said? (And not thinking it was all that crazy?)
I feel the change in ebay rules falls in line with many of their new changes. It may fix one or two things, but it makes a lot more problems for ebay users. |

It's time to make a stand and say "F*CK you ebay!!!!" I'm done with them. I will only buy from their site now. Eat my shorts EBAY!!!!!
