Anyone notice the shipping cost restrictions? May sound good, but this is another door closed by ebay. For example, someone with a $100 items sells it BIN for $1 with $99 shipping to escape all the fees. Now you wont be able to do that. These people arent stupid. They are professionals at legally stealing your money. |

yeah i just re-read the new garbage theyre forcing on us.
well i also buy alot on ebay and most of the time pay with postal MOs.i have paypal but dont always have or even want to use it if its not existing funds. oh well.less money spent on ebay then. they say less then 10% of transacations are MO now. but how big is that 10%? USPS MOs wont get used as much? bet its a pretty sizable chunk. |

As Cobra Commander once said "Real Stealing is usually done on paper"

Updated today, eBay's Fall changes:
August 2008 Of interest... "we are shifting the majority of our costs for most categories to the back end (final value fees)" Which means that they again will likely double or triple their profits off FVF and lose only slightly off the insertion fees. And this one... "checks and money orders will no longer be accepted on eBay" They will only allow credit cards, ProPay, and of course, the reason for almost all of this...Pay Pal. Not happy about this being a seller on eBay at times.

J) And Squaretrade! Screw all 3. PayPal & ebay are both anti-2nd amendment douchies.
Squaretrade sent me an email 9-10 months after I left feedback for one of their sellers. They pestered me with emails trying to get me to withdraw a well-deserved negative feedback. The asswipe seller didn't protect the mib Transformer, it got all banged up in shipping. The seller wouldn't cover shipping n' only offered me $10. The shipping was $9, $19 total. The shitforbrains MF'er crammed (and I mean 'crammed') it into a box with no padding of any kind. Squaretrade is a joke. It's just a service to keep shitty sellers in business. If you're a good seller you don't need to pay for their service. All I do is Money Orders & Cashiers Checks, I refuse to use PayPal. I'm all done with ebay and the s***n, h***a, p***n, etc, etc. What the hell was that garbage. It's a shame ebay had such a huge part in Transformers the movie........ When this generation is older they can tell their kids stuff like this: "Son (or Daughter), ebay was a horrible place to shop back when we had that thing called the internet. Back when they made it easier for wives to cheat & gold dig while their husbands busted ass at work all day to bring home the bacon" Not that wives n' girlfriends are meeting "friends" on ebay, that's what myspace is for. The internet.. the greatest & worst invention brought to you by our beloved friend and saviour, the earth friendly, "global warming" awareness activist, Mr. Al Gore everyone! *applauds* Now everyone switch to biodiesel, we need to fuel our vehicles with food people! Screw starving people in third world countries, we need vegetables and we need them now! Ok, now lets raise vegetable prices like we did with the oil! Let's control the masses with vegetables! Monsanto GMO veggies anyone? Come on now, you don't want frankenstein catfish DNA in your tomato? No third legs or eyeballs for you either? Darn.. Last edited by sweeper; 08-23-2008 at 12:40 AM.. |
