When I had a Joe collection it was in a small room in the basement, everything was displayed on shelfs and was pretty boring accually.
The only "toys" in the basement now are my model trains, the layout gets a nice 50x46 footprint in the basement. I'll probably have it up till I retire, then move and build another one or build another one in this house.

I am lucky enough to have a spare room that's my office. Inside lurks my computer, my 37" HDTV (60" downstairs, lol), and 5 bookshelves for of figures (DC, Marvel Legends, Joes, Busts and statues). A lot of my MOC vechiles are stacked next to one. Next year when we buy a house, the basement will become the man cave and I'll get everything exactly how i want it. Still have a ton of stuff in bins, though. Not enough space yet. Lots more coming. My girlfriend's cool with it, as long as I don't creep into other rooms, lol!! I have a lot of stuff. I always tell her, I could have a lot worse vices than collecting plastic toys. And I buy her lots of jewelry.
