Were you not tuned to CBS on a thursday night to view this program???? Did you not go forth and portray yourself and friends in this image playing Combat??? I for one did...and loved it. War may be ugly and gruesome...but to a young child raised on GI Joe...this was my real life GI Joe movie...always was...always will be. I was glued to the Tv on a Thursday night to view this...as were my friends...we spent the weekend playing the episodes out. And yes...I still have that Boonie hat that I bought just like the Sarge's. lol

they have the whole series out on DVD. great show. I spent one summer vacation searching for Paint it Black. Asked everyone one I knew if they knew the them to Tour of Duty and finally my uncle knew who sang it and I was able to buy go to the sam goodies and buy the Stones on tape. What a great summer.

That was one of my favorite shows of all time. We used to play "Tour of Duty" around the neighboorhood with the other kids. "Zeke" was my favorite character.

Beta me to it, I was about to say that I first realized how badass the Stones were when I looked up at my Dad with little 9 year old eyes and said "this song is cool", and he replied "of course it is son, it's the Rolling Stones".

I don't remember this. Of course, by 1987 I was in high school and I hardly ever watched TV at that point. If it had come out 4 to 5 years earlier I would have been all over it.
