This is a sweet post I must say. After I'm done with this you will all probably think that I have a severe drinking problem and you may be right. I go out a lot. I am a bartender for one so I know what to order. Ok here is what I drink. I drink beer. I love it. I drink almost any kind of beer. I drink several times a week. Not just socially either I get'er done. Miller lite, Bud light, keystone light, any Leinenkeugels brand beers, RR, PBR, Guiness. OK I also drink liquor as well.....thats a give in. I love Jager bombs, cherry bombs, & Bazooka Joe's. I also really like Irish Car bombs...yum! And, we should not forget the most ridiculous shot of all....one of my person favorites...the Angry, Pissed off, Japanese Farmer shot. Oh yeah, I also used to drink Everclear a lot but decided to stop when I couldn't remember an entire summer. I have really cut back on drinking since I was 21/22 age. I am 25 now so I know how to control myself better and what not. Basically I just like to go out and have a good time. I'm always the life of the party. Well I'm gonna go grab a beer peace out fellow tankers!

I have dabbled in hard liquors and mixed drinks but I am a beer man by nature. While watching The Big Lebowski there was a period in which I was drinking a lot of White Russians and even tried a few shots of straight vodka.
Being from San Diego and currently living in the Midwest I have a large taste range for beers. I can't find Karl Strauss for the life of me unless I'm home visiting family. One of my all time favorite Strauss flavors is Red Trolley Ale, which can also be (sort of) purchased at Trader Joe's in the Chicago area as another beer, but with a similar flavor. The Midwest offers a wide variety of beers, including local favorites like Leinenkugel's, 312, and Goose Island. Basically, if it's a beverage from the beer family, I'll drink it... Oh, and for the price, you can't beat Ice House: 5.5% alcohol per serving and it costs around $6 for a twelve pack on sale at Dominick's / Vons. Talk about a cheap buzz...

I live in what has been unofficially labeled Beertown USA. Because of the great selections of brews here I have become somewhat of a beer snob. My favorite would be Mirror Pond by Dechuetes Brewery and coming in a close second would be Brideports IPA. If I get into the sauce its usually Makers Mark.
I'll say! I was in Portland on business last year and saw the selection you have there. Finally had Fat tire and tried a milk stout and a boisenberry (sp) brew. Awesome. Also like Barons Wattle Seed Ale and Street Car Lager (WI). |

I can tell you this much my fellow beer drinkers....
Bermuda Island Triangle Brewing beers....do not taste too well to me. They are all Pale Ale's...and I bought into them with the Triangle case box...and that was my "GOT TO HAVE SOUVENIR"...sadly, after I bought it I hit a local pub....tried the three flavors within...and swore I drank the sea water. lol I just don't have the taste buds for THAT Pale an Ale.

I myself am a fan of the wheat beers mostly. Like Samuel Adams cherry wheat, brown ale, even blue moon.
I consider myself more of a have a few beers type of person, not a lets drink as many as I can and just get shit faced. I just need to get a little bit of a buzz on. no need to get shit faced sloppy. But im not a fa n of milller..the taste just doesn't work for me. Bud light and all those are pretty much the same, but a cheap drink like a $1 pint of coors light will keep me happy. but man i hav eto say that bud light with lime is pretty damn good and i ussually don't like the mexican beers. but damn all this talk has made me thirsty. If only i had a nice cold beer in my fridge and a chilled glass. |

Living in the only state where you can buy it, I prefer Shiner Bock. I'll take LaBatt's Blue when I can find it, and actually prefer alcohol to either one.
My starting round is usually: Double Tall Tom Collins: 1.5 oz Bombay Sapphire 1 oz Rose's Lime Juice 3.5 oz 7-up/Sprite/Soda Water Very refreshing and light, and won't leave you with a bad hangover or aftertaste. "Highland Mist" - Shot of any 12 year single malt scotch, on crushed ice Occasionally, I'll switch it up and have a Bombay Martini, dirty and extra dry...two olives. As for wine...an inexpensive import from Italy called Ecco Domini Pinot Grigio. It's light, somewhat dry (without the extreme bitter finish) with green apple & pear accents, and a slightly woody flavor. About $10 to $12 a bottle locally. I stay away from Tequila and Bourbon like the plague because of the hangover factor. |
